Tuesday-Almost sufficated & Today Projects

Hello! Well yesterday wasn't as productive as I would like it to be. I started off the morning with the usual finishing up lunches and getting kiddos off to school. I decided to start working out (serious work out). I am so out of shape, it is not funny! Of any of you who know me I had pancreatitis right after Gabby was born so I had to have emergency surgery to save my life. Then 2 years ago I had hernia surgery. I would stand up and the doctor said my guts would fall out of the space that was there, it was really nasty . I have a 16 inch vertical scar right down the middle of me and absolutely NO stomach muscles to be found. I searched for them yesterday.I am doing these crunches that use to be a piece of cake (that is part of the reason I have to exercise anyway, stupid cake). Then reverse curls HA HA HA I was laughing so hard trying to get my toosh in the air with my legs stretched up to the cieling. To no avail this did not happen. I am trying Jillian Michaels work out (Lady trainer from the Biggest Loser). I am so wimpy when I was doing my jumping jacks in warm up I thought my boobs were going to knock me in the face and throw me backwards. EEEK! It was a terrible fear as I was doing these. I have come to the conclusion that even though this lady has had 400 pound people doing this same exact workout it was under close supervision so they would not strangle themselves with their rools on their bodies. I am not giving up though. I will exercise but I am going to try the different exercise DVD's that I have to find what will work for me for cardio now and stick with the weight lifting. I eventually want to run long distance again.
I normally would not share so much information, who am I kidding I am an open book. I have gained almost 25lbs. since I moved back to the valley. I am not sure why it could be the food, stress and I don't spend the amount of time being active outdoors like I did up in the white mountains . There was a lady at church Sunday(that just had a baby 4 months ago) that had the most beautiful arms I wanted them not the wings that have sprouted recently. So wish me luck !
Today is up in the air of what I will be able to get done. I am making some bags for holding childrens blocks for a Humanitarian Project in our ward. I need to cut those out and sew them up there is only 17 so I don't think they will take that long. I really want to work on Christmas things so maybe there will be time for that along with todays home tasks and working with Alan on some projects.
So there is my day till 2:30 in a nutshell then the kiddos need picked up, dinner made and evening activities. Have a great day. Hugs, Bobbi Jo

I bet that jillian workout is a killer! In the past I have really enjoyed TaeBo (works off some of that pent up frustration dealing with inlaws LOL) and cheesey old Richard Simmons. I need to get my butt in gear too!

Are you talking about Jillian's Shred? It's a killer. I was doing it regularly in the spring/summer, then quit, and now I'm working myself up to starting again - a scary prospect! I'm sure you'll find something that works well for you.

You left a comment on my food blog...I had never thought about waxing cheese. I'll definitely have to look into that one, too. The cheese they canned was definitely no longer cheese by the time it was done (to me, at least).

Your blog is darling. I love your straight forward style. And I love your Elyse...I'm the Mia Maid/Laurel advisor in our ward, but got to spend time with all of the girls at Girl's Camp. She is a doll.

Bobbi Jo, I once had a woman say she wished she had my arms! I thought 'are you serious, chickee'! These flabs hanging on underneath, the brown spots??? Nuuuuu, I'm like you. My boobs slap me when I jump up and down so I gave it up for a computer and soft chair! Yuuuuck.....
SMooches and condolences, honey.....

Jillian is not a human. I am convinced of it. Good luck with the workouts!

You go girl. I may need to use you as an inspiration to get my big old butt off this chair. If you find the perfect video let me know. I'm gonna have to start really slooooooow because otherwise I'd tip over and die. It sounds like you have enough self control to get it done!

Hang in there on the work outs. My workouts include chasing my kids and playing sports. 2 of my favorite things! I wouldn't call mysefl "in shape" though!

Oh my goodness I was LOL at your post!! I did biggest a loser DVD a couple times with Lisanne, that is no slouch workout, I don't care how big the poeple are in the videos. They have been working out 6 hours a day for a couple months before they taped that. I know it feels like you can't do it, but seriously keep at it. You will really surprise yourself. And I second the Tae-bo idea. I've lost a LOT of weight doing that, and its pretty low impact but very effective. You should come over sometime and we'll do some meal plans up. I have lots of good yummy easy things that are healthy. I just need to eat more of them. :D

Good luck losing the weight! It doesn't really matter what you do, just do something and don't give up!
