Happy Birthday Pink Saturday

Happy Pink Saturday and Happy Birthday to Pink Saturday. It has been a year since Beverly at How Sweet The Sound started Pink Saturday. I want to thank her for this wonderful idea of celebrating such a fantastic color and may we have many, many more.
My contributions for this week are:
my Pink slippers for those chilly mornings or if I just want to keep my feet clean.
My favorite Pink purse from Kohl's , It is so nice and roomy and goes with many of my outfits.
And last but not least my Pink straightene. Notice the bling on the front.
Hope you all have a great Pink Saturday! Hugs, Bobbi Jo

Thursday Fun Sitting and Friday Fun Day

On Thursday Coco needed some time to work on her school work and was having a hard time with Talmage being so cute and wanting someone to play with so she called me. And of course twist my arm I did. He was having a ball playing at the house with Faith and Gabby. This is a picture of him trying to get up the stairs
Ah oh busted! After playing for a while, eating lunch and more playing Coco came over to get him and ended up visiting for a while. Talmage was getting cranky and he was starting to dose off in her arms and pulled himself up straight crying. Now Coco isn't very big and he was fighter her. So I took him and just held him tight and in less that 2 minutes he was out. Yes! I still have the touch. I laid him on the freshly washed sheets and blankets of Elyse's that were waiting to be taken to her room.
He is so precious.
Coco need to run some errands a little later so I offered to watch him again. Kyle came back with Coco and they stayed for dinner and visiting.
This smile just melts my heart He loves to pose for the camera and then try to take it
This morning started off in the usual way alarm going off at 5 and up .Getting hubby off to work and on to my home blessing. I was done with the house work by 6:30 all but vacuuming due to kiddos still being asleep. At 7:30 Coco and Talmage came over with her bike and bike trailer. E'lyse had to go babysit so Faith, Gabby, Coco, Talmage and I went for a bike ride. It was fun! Coco said I like a little silly on my bike but I don't care I love to ride it because it is so pretty. It felt really good to get out and exercise. We got home and had some errands to run. Faith and Gabby (with Dallas at home) babysat Talmage for Coco. Faith is wanting to get babysitting jobs but she is 10. Anyway we got back home after a little while of being gone and they had done a good job. Being that they hadn't gone anywhere all week we went to Chick-fil-A for lunch. I told them we were going to pick up a check for dad in Mesa and it was a long way away. Anyway they had fun playing on the toys, even Talmage got to play for his first time. We had a good lunch too! On top of that Gabby had a Free Lunch pass for meeting her AR goal the last quarter and I had 3 free ice-cream bowls. They were huge. And the ice-cream is so yummy! SIDE NOTE on Monday night at Chick-fil-A they are having a Family Night from 5:30 to 7:30. It is a free 4 piece childs meal with the purchase of an adult meal. And make your own sundae, face painting and balloon making. Great deal and should be fun. You should check with your local Chick-fil-A for details.
We then went and got our library membership. In our area the closest library isn't in our county so you have to pay $50. Coco and I split the fee. We checked out some fun books I even got 3 Christmas books to read. I just love Christmas! They also have at the public library free passes for museums. Cool stuff!
Anyway it has been a really fun day and it isn't even 2:30 yet.
Coco and Talmage went home for nap time and the little girls are playing a game together on the computer. I am feeling so thankful for my family. It has been a very fun Friday.
Tonight is date night. We are doing a steak dinner and movie in our room. I love casual date night.
Hope you all are having a fun Friday. If you have plans for your Friday Date night or other plans I would love to hear them. Have a great afternoon. Hugs, Bobbi Jo

Grandson, Coloring And Food Storage

Coco got a bunch of baby items from a family member (Kristine) and there was some really nice things. These are my faves.
Notice what the hat says? Yeah that's my grandson, "Harley Davidson! "
Talmages new dew rag "Harley Davidson"
And the back way cute! I have 2 dew rags and they aren't nearly as cool as this one.
Last night Kyle was adjusting Alan's back on the floor and Talmage went over and decided that Grandpas head was better than a white board or coloring book any day. He started coloring and no one stopped him.
Coco took the pictures
and a close up. I didn't think you could color on skin like that.
Alan was at a job yesterday and the lady was throwing out her food storage. She didn't want it anymore. So hubby brought it home there is wheat (white and red), rice, powdered milk, flour, corn, beans and a few others. I was very happy this is what we got

and this

Considering I use my food storage a lot it is great to have more. Always grateful for the daily blessings. Hope you are all having a great day. Mine has been busy but productive.

School. Awards, Trip And Summer Time

Warning there is a lot of pictures and a long post!!
Last Thursday the little girls school had an Awards Assembly. Faith had 100% perfect attendance for the full year. She is the first out of the 5 children to do this. Faith and Gabby made the Honor Roll for the full year also. We are very proud of them.
On Friday Alan and I went on a trip to the White Mountains were we lived almost 2 years ago. As we drove into town my heart just ached to be back up there. It was a wonderful 58 degrees and rainy. We stayed in a little place called the Double B Lodge. We had a great cabin with a kitchenette. I took a few pictures of the inside
This is the living room, dining area and kitchenette
The front of the bathroom.
The bedroom. Love this quilt!
We left Saturday morning and had to take out a fence that we had put in at the cabin we lived at then headed out of town. We headed on our way to make a full circle of coming home. We drove to a small little town called Nutrioso. The town is so small I couldn't even find out how many people lived there. I sure could have though. Then we headed to a sweet little town called Alpine. It was so pretty and green there. The elevation is 8,012 ft. another place where I could live. We ate lunch at a little cafe called Bear Willow Cafe.
They have pies made fresh daily. Oh my goodness I had strawberry rhubarb pie that was phenomenal!
After lunch we headed down the road to Hanagans Meadow. I am not sure if is a town or what but they had a lodge and a little shop and that was it. This is the meadow Across from it is the lodge.
We drove and drove and drove. This was before we got out of the pine covered areas.
We drove on what seemed forever switch back roads. I normally do not get car sick but these went on for I would guess about 44 miles and they were crazy. Looking over the edge of the road. The road was very narrow and no guard rail at all. Eeek! I was a little nervous.
We drove a lot futher and came to this This is in the town of Morenci. It has a popultion of 1,705. It is the largest copper mining operation in North America and one of the largest copper minds in the world. This picture isn't that impressive but this one
and this to me looks like a giant swimming pool This mine went on and on. I was in awe at the digging that has been going on since 1872. It reminded me a lot of the Grand Canyon. I don't have the desire to come through here again but this was fantastic to see.
These are the trucks they drive around on the roads down in the minds I didn't take the second picture it was from the web site here They are HUGE! And the back part I am not sure of the proper name but these you could put a huge swimming poll in them. WOW!! I was stunned.
As we were heading out there was a sign that said Watch for big horn sheep and guess what was across from the sign? You guessed it. Hubby took the picture for me. There is a ram in the center of the group with a collar on. They were cool!
Many hours later we returned home. I love trips but it is always good to get back home to the kiddos.
It is now summer time. Planning on doing some camping trips and fun things with the family. Hope you are all doing well and having a good holiday. Hugs, Bobbi Jo

Random Pictures

Talmage sneaking away with his Easter suit on. It has an orange tie and is so dashing on the little guy.
This picture is of the dinning/kitchen area at night after everyone went to bed. I love this part of the home.
This is more of the kitchen area. You know the heart of the home!
Talmage loves to share with Belle whether it be his food or hers.
Belle gladly accepts either.
This is what I made a little while ago.
What's in your cookie jar?
Coco did a French braid on E'lyses hair last night and this is how it looked this morning when she let it out and pulled it back. She is such a pretty girl.
WOAH Talmage and his big muscles!
Sunday after the family got home from church I made homemade vanilla ice-cream. It was so good! Kyle, Coco and Talmage came over and had some with us.
