Making My Home Sing Monday

This week for my Making My Home Sing is to give out all the positive energy I can to make our home a sanctuary from the world. I am going to make our home a peaceful, calm home of love and kindness. I will concentrate on not raising my voice to be heard upstairs but to walk up to get whoever I am in need of. To work on keeping the peacefulness in our home.

I love what you said about making it a sanctuary from the world. We all need a place that's safe and warm to come home to, don't we? "A peaceful, calm home of love and kindness" just like you said.

I too have a problem with yelling "dinner!" or "phone!" down the stairs instead of walking down. It's good exercise to walk but I still holler down and need to work on it.

You forgot to post a link on your page back to the meme on my blog, so if you could do that I'd appreciate it. So glad you could join us today!

That is a good goal. I know I have gotten into the habit of yelling or calling so I don't have to walk and go look.
It is nicer to have quieter voices!

What great inspiration! Not yelling up the stairs - it's a good goal I can embrace, too!!!

Sounds like a great plan. I need to work on not yelling from room to room too. My attitude last night did not make my home sing...I made Manga Dork cry and Dr. Hubby worry. Not my finest moment...but I am so blessed they love and forgive me. Today is a new day. Happy Monday!

Great goal for the week. I'm kind of a loud person. So I decided that I would speak softer and more gentle. After about a couple days of that, my kids told me to knock it off!! FUNNY!!!

I do feel that we need to make our home a sanctuary. It needs to be a place that offers peace when we are all "Safely Gathered In."
Have a great day.

Oh, how easy it is to just yell out for whomever we want upstairs instead of taking the time to walk up the stairs. Thank you for posting this!
