Had To Share

Alan and Dallas are planning to go up to Lakeside to do some work on the cabin this weekend along with some varmint calling. So when Coco heard this she kept saying I really need to come up too. Yesterday afternoon I receive this picture with a text message saying “I will be sad if you don’t come up”. Talk about melting my heart. He is even sweeter in person. I love the little guy.
It was so good to spend time with them. Just wish they lived down here. I guess I will keep praying. Hugs, Bobbi Jo

My Front Toof

Gabby 7 has had a tooth that has been loose but, not enough to pull it out. She didn't want anyone else to pull it out she wanted to do it all by herself. This afternoon she got it out all by herself. She was so proud. I think it is just for the money.Hugs, Bobbi Jo

The Weekend & FHE

This is a picture of my Mom and Talmage
On Friday Coco, Kyle and Talmage came down to stay with us.
Saturday Coco, Faith, Gabby and I went to Michaels to get some fun craft items to work on then to The Scrapbook Studio in Queen Creek. We had fun! After we got home Coco, Kyle and I went to MiAmigos for lunch. Alan and Dallas went hunting with some friends.
On Sunday after church we went to visit with Grandparents. None of them have seen Talmage so this was fun to watch them with their new great grandson. We had good visits at both houses and it was good to see our parents.
On Monday night we had a great dinner for Alan’s Grilled chicken and ate in the living room while we watched “Spice World”. I think that Alan and Kyle thought we were nuts. Gabby and I were standing up dancing and singing with some of the songs. For desert we had ice cream sundaes. They were yummy!
Today the little Lucas family are leaving to go to Flagstaff to see Kyle‘s father then back to Pinetop. If you could keep in your prayers Kyle’s father his name is Dave. He is having some problems with an infection in his leg that they were suppose to operate on but couldn’t due to this. I would appreciate it as I am sure he would too.
Talk to you soon. Hugs, Bobbi Jo

New Beginnings

Since E'lyse will be a going into YW this year last night was New Beginnings. It was a wonderful night. Our Bishop gave a wonderful talk and the YW President is soggier than I am. There are 15 girls going into YW this year. E'lyse is the first one of the year. In the picture she is the 5 on the top row. I am very excited for her; she is going to have a blast. Hugs, Bobbi Jo

1st Game

Dallas had his first baseball game for Queen Creek High school. He didn’t get to start due to skipping practice Monday but after 2 innings was brought in. He played 3rd base. He had a pop fly past third and a strike. Not great hitting but played great at the base. This picture was taken before school. The players have to dress up on game day.
Queen Creek won the game agains Paradise Valley 10-5. Way to go Bulldogs!

TAGGED

Tagged

I have been tagged by Meredith so here goes:
What was I doing ten years ago?
10years ago I was younger! Hah! I was 33 and had 3 children. Doing very well balancing life. Alan was the Elders Quarum President. We went to the Temple at least once a week. I had 7 church callings and felt very good about life.
5 Things on my to-do list today:
1. Start reading a book for a book club I belong to.
2. Do Elyses wash.
3. Workout
4. Go to store for yogurt & scrapbook supplies.
5. Run all over the place for baseball, Achievment Day and New Beginnings.
Things I would do if I suddenly became a billionaire:
I would pay off all our bills and get completely out of debt. Build a house for my mom and dad. Buy land and build a cabin in Pinetop. Buy a house for Coco and Kyle to move here. Put money away for missions, college and of course GO TO DISNEYLAND!!!
2 of my bad habits are:
1. Biting my skin around my finger nails.
2. Being anxios, anal and sarcastic.
5 Places I have lived:
1. Pennsylvania
2. Las Vegas, Nevada
3. Buckeye, AZ
4. Anchorage,Alaska for 3 months
5. Lakeside,AZ
5 Jobs I've had:
1. Busgirl-Bill Johnson's Big Apple
2. Waitress-Bill Johnson's Big Apple
3. Teacher for Chapter One-Adams Elementary
4. Freelance model from 13 to 22
5. Physical Therapist-Dr. Scott Meritello
6. Mommy for almost 18 years and more gray hair than I can keep colored.
5 Things people don't know about me:
1. I am actually smart I just don't let people know it.
2. I color my hair and I don't know what the real color is.(ok some do know this)
3. I use to want to be a talk show host, singer & dancer and a Playboy Bunny! Shocking I know!
4. I use practice dancing in my bedroom before I went out on dates to get rid of stress.
This last one must be inherated because Meredith has it too.
5. I have to be the last person to go to the bathroom before going on a roadtrip or before going to bed at night. If someone else goes after me I have to walk back into the bathroom and try to go again. It is a strange compulsive behavior!

Now I am tagging COCO, MELISSA, KRISTEN

Cute Little Guy & Weekend Happenings

Over the weekend our family, all but Dallas, went up to Pinetop to visit with Coco and Kyle. We celebrated Faiths Birthday on Saturday and on Sunday Kyle received the Melchizedek Priesthood. We are very happy for him.
We took over the living room floor of their home. Forcing the guys to watch “Hairspray”, love that movie. We had a good time visiting with them and getting to see Talmage and all the changes in just a week of not being around him. I got to watch him roll over several times. Little stinker! I love the picture of Alan holding Talmage. Alan is just a big soggy teddy bear. Thank you Coco for letting us stay with you. We love you! Hugs, Bobbi Jo

Faith is 9

On Saturday Faith turned 9. I can’t believe it has been a year since her Baptism. It has been a fun year with Faith. She is here holding her Miley doll that she got for her Birthday. If Faith had her way we would still live in Lakeside she loved it there and struggles to come home when we go up to visit.
I wanted to share 10 things about Faith
1. She is a very creative girl.
2. She is a big fan of Hannah Montana.
3. Her favorite animal is an elephant.
4. She has a very tender heart and worries about people more than a little girl her age should.
5. She is a big fan of HGTV.
6. Likes the T.V. show Spice Up My Kitchen.
7. She sings beautifully.
8. Faith has a great eye for decorating.
9. Faith often puts others before herself.
10. She is reading at a 6th grade level.
Love you Miss Faith.

Spice up your life

Okay who is not a fan of the Spice Girls? I remember thinking; I want to be a Spice Girl. I always wanted to be Scary Spice (loved the leopard print outfits and the platform shoes). I thought how much fun it must be to just be who you want and sing on stage and travel with your gal pals.
Now you all know my secret dream! So yesterday I went to my store, Wally World and got the Spice Girls Greatest Hits CD and have been driving around listening to it.
The music brings back fun memories of times with my nieces Meredith and Savannah. They would sing the songs and dance when we went camping or to the cabin on trips. Thanks for the fun times.
Now I am in search for the movie. I have got to watch it! Maybe next week Coco! We can force Kyle, Alan and Dallas to watch it with us. LOL
Have a Spicy Night! Hugs, Bobbi Jo or should I say Bobbi Spice (he he)

Sunday to Monday

This picture was drawn by Coco a while back. I think it is sooooo cute!
Sunday was a good day. We went to church came home and took a nap. Gotta love that! We were invited to the Worldwide Leadership Training Meeting with some good friends of ours, Randy and Sherri Pickeral. The meeting was not what I expected. It was less formal and I thought it would be more on how to teach the classes. But for anyone who went to it, it wasn't it was about FAMILY! I loved listening to Elder Oaks speaking and being so honest about things that go on in the family, not sugar coating it. It was great!
Today I went and stocked up on lunch supplies. Good old Wally World. I really should own stock in that place. LOL
Not much going on here right now. I need to work on our FHE lesson for tonight. I will check in later. Hugs, Bobbi Jo

Saturday

On Saturday night Faith and Gabby's school had a Daddy Daughter Dance. They got dressed up and went on a date. Don't they look cute! Then they decided to go see “The Hannah Montana Movie”. They had a great time and came home with 3-D glasses. Makes me wish I would have gone.

Tip for Moms

This is why you don't let a 7 year old vacuum their carpet in their room without making sure to check that all items are up off the floor.

Gabby and Faith had cleaned up their room. After they were done Gabby asked if she could vacuum it. I asked them if everything was cleaned up off the floor? All the pony tail holders? The crayons? The Barbie clothes? They said yes so I said okay.

A few minutes later the girls called me in and I found the blue spots. For a while they mysteriously didn’t know what it was that had gotten ran over. Come to find out it was a marker. A marker the size of a regular pencil. How could they not see it? ARRG!!
The spots in the picture are after some cleaning up too. Today I used Goof-Off and the blue came out more.
There is still some blue showing but it is better. I will keep working on them.

So #1 lesson don’t trust a 7 and 8 year olds judgment of what is not on the floor and #2 lesson is keep a bottle of Goof-Off on hand at all times!
See Meredith it doesn't end!!!

BASEBALL

Dallas made the baseball team. The coach said that a lot of the choices for players were on character. Dallas going out to run the mile the other morning with a pulled groin muscle showed good character. I am so happy for him! I am not really surprised though, Dallas has a great love and talent for baseball. Now the fun begins. Hugs, Bobbi Jo

SUNS

First I have to give credit to my sweet niece Meredith for this great pic of the SHAQ. Many years ago I loved watching the Suns play due to Charles Barkley. He was so fun to watch. He just made the game great for me to watch and root for the Suns. Now the time has come again for Me to watch basketball again. The new #32 SHAQ will be playing for our Suns. I am excited!!

Dinner time

Tonight for dinner we are having a turkey roast, stuffing, spinach and hot chocolate w/ mini marshmellows. Of course Dallas is at mutual. I am glad of that though he doesn't eat very well unless he is at home or I pack his lunch. Alan just called and he said to just eat with out him and save him a plate. WELL so in my evil mind I will have a plate saved and that is it. HEHEHEHE Okay of course I will have food for him but not on that plate. One thing I like to do is when the kiddos get up to use the bathroom or get something while we are eating is to hide what they were eating. It brings many great times of laughter for me some aggravation for them but it keeps them on their toes. So watch out if you come to visit don't get up from the table. LOL Hugs for now.
This is plain exercise punishment!! Elyse is a nut
Team work at it's best! Faith and Gabby

Faith this is total cheating!

Baseball Tryouts

Dallas had to be at the school this morning at 6:30 to be timed on running the mile.
He did pretty good considering he pulled his groin muscle yesterday at tryouts. He was running at a little less than a 2 minute mile. He ran 3 laps and had to stop to stretch. The couch stopped him and told him he respected him for coming out with a pulled groin muscle so he just averaged his time. I thought that was nice and I know Dallas was glad. Now he is walking like he has been riding a horse for 3 days. It is sad yet funny! Poor guy!
Today I am headed into Mesa to run errands. Check in later. Hugs!

What is going on

Well today started out with the same thing the alarm going off. Packing lunches and getting breakfast made for Alan.
Dallas my dear son doesn't want to get up. After 4 times of waking him he comes upstairs and asks if I can take him into school late. Why? He is tired!!! EEEK.... okay I say no due to an appoinment I have and he needs to get to school. How do you motivate a kiddo to get their homework done, hang out with friend and get to bed early Just balance out their life? I am going nuts trying to figure this out. No one ever told me about this part of parenting. Sometimes I feel completely at loss as a parent. I don't know what to say to help him. I keep praying that I will have guidence in this situation. And maybe I am and I am just doing what the Lord want me to do.
Job hunting is not progressing with Alan but he still has work with a good friend for the time being. We just have to have faith that things will change and something will come along. All in all life is good I have a great family, I am happy and I have hot chocolate to drink. What more could a girl ask for.
(Maybe a little more sparkles!!!) he he

Okay now what

I decided after much time of reading some of my favorite blogs that it was time for me to get on the blog roll! So here I am. I am wanting to make this blog a way for friends to know what is going on in our families life.

Our family moved back to the valley in the middle of October and we are still trying to get settled back in.

I have been away durring the past three weeks to try and help out our oldest daughter who just blessed us with a beautiful grandson named Talmage. He is so sweet and kissable. He just stole my heart. We are hoping that our daughter, Coco and her husband Kyle will move down soon.
Tonight is family night and Gabby our youngest is teaching the lesson. This should be a lot of fun. Gabby is such a nut.
