Fathers Day And Update

Happy Fathers Day to all the wonderful men that are in my life especially my Alan. I love each of you and have the utmost respect for you and all you do for your families. Supporting the family, loving and caring for your spouses, your jobs and callings. Thank you Alan for your love, understanding and kindness. You have put up with so much from me and have been a man of great strength.

Now for the update. This is Kyle (son in love) who just enlisted in the Air Force. In this picture is the day he was sworn in as a DO for Maricopa County.
Today Coco, Kyle and Talmage came over for dinner with us for Fathers Day. Kyle had gotten a text from his recruiter that he will be shipped out August 4th! HOLY COW!! Wasn't expecting that. We where thinking the end of August or beginning of September. A lot has to be done in this next month. Hugs, Bobbi Jo

Take a deep breath! Make a list! I am not sure how the Air Force works since my husband is Navy but if your daughter needs anyone to chat with I would be happy to help in any way I can. I will keep them all in my prayers. The military life isn't always an easy life but after being a spouse for the last 18 years of one I can say it is quite an adventure. :)
My best advice for your daughter is some that was given to me and if you allow me to I am going to shout it for her. OK?
"BLOOM WHERE YOU ARE PLANTED!!!!!!"
Some places are easier to live and others well are not but overall you will take the good with the bad and when you move on you will realize that well it wasn't so bad after all. You might not see it when you are knee deep in but afterwards you will. I can say something positive about every place we have been and that is the best thing. And the other best advice I can give even if Dad will be gone-the Mom needs to be consistent. This was & even now is sometimes the hardest thing to do but really if one person stays as much as the same things go smoothly. And one more thing(sorry this is getting long) if mom acts excited about the adventure then most of the time so will the kids. If mom says it going to stink guess what happens-the kids will think it to and will act out at whatever age they are at!
Ok getting off my soapbox now. :) Hope you don't mind-I am a little passionate about military families. :)
