This weekend was a good one. I didn't get all that was planned but that is cool. Alan ended up working on Saturday so the planter boxes didn't get done or any of the other projects I needed him to help me with. But work is good to have!
Coco and Talmage came over to hang out. It was a good day in all. Saturday night Alan, Kyle and Dallas went to the Priesthood Session of conference. After they were done Dallas went out on a date. Alan and Kyle went and got a bite to eat. Coco and I were going to wait to eat with them but we were so hungry we ended up going to get Sonic. So the guys went out for fish and chips and came home with flowers for us. I know I have a great man! Sunday we watched conference. Coco and Talmage came over and then Kyle after work. I made dinner, brownies with walnuts and divinity covered chocolate. Oh my good but sooooo sweet!
Now it is Monday and on with my week.
Homemaking Mondays: Establish a house of order. I found this little saying that I love
"Out of dreariness
Into it cheeriness
Come we in weariness,
Home."
By Stephen Chalmers
This is one of the things I have been working on lately is trying to establish a house of order. Most people are more productive and happier in a home where thing are orderly, systematic, and reasonably structured.
I am reading a great book called The Ultimate Career The Art of Homemaking For Today, by Daryl Hoole and Daughters. It is a book on being a homemaker and taking pride in our great calling.
There are many blogs and sites to get organized but we each need to tweak them to make them fit our lives and families. Look around for ideas write them down and then make a plan with them. Use them for a while and see what makes thing easier for your life.
Menu Plan Monday:
Beef Taco Skillet
Mexican Salad
Corn
Beef Stroganoff
Green Beans
Rolls
Chicken Enchiladas
Left over Mexican Salad
Fruit
Turkey
Mash potatoes with gravy
Veggies
Homemade Pizza
Salad
Date Night
C.O.R.N. Clean out the fridge night!!
Off to get kiddos to school and workout. Going to the Ranch market to get fruits and veggies, quick shopping trip to Wal-Mart for items on my list and home to make freezer jam, do wash and other house blessings. Have a great Monday! Hugs, Bobbi Jo

Sounds like a yummy week!
You are off to a good start with your organization for the week. I need to do better and plan out my menu too. Thanks for the inspiration. :)
That does sound like a great week!
I am in the process of convincing dh to clean and organize his stuff, as I dare not touch it. He's coming around slowly but surely. lol
YUM...sounds like a lucky family this week at dinner time.
Glad you had a nice weekend. AND...flowers to boot!!
Have a good day.

I enjoyed your post today. Can I come over for dinner? I have had a new determination to be a better person and working on having things in order. It will always be something I have to work on. It is all good!! Have a great day!!
Good luck with everything this week :)
I think it's great that people are taking pride in being a homemaker. My mom is one. I think it's a noble calling.
Great post. Homemaking is an art unto itself. Sometimes dreary but when done it is always satisfying and really does make a house a home and it feels much happier when things are orderly.
I love the saying you posted!
I love being a homemaker. Now, menu making, I'm lacking there, sort of. However, I love to cook, but life gets in the way so often. : ) I've never heard CORN...how cute!
I have enjoyed my first visit here.
bless...shell
i added my supper menu on my blog but i think yours look better!
and i am TRYING AND TRYING to get my house in order......... but these dishes keep getting dirty and the laundry never ends.......................
ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh
wanna come over & help me? :)
I keep trying to establish a 'house of order' also. The less people I have living at home, the more it's out of control - giggle! Go figure. I think I'm missing all my helping hands!
But I keep hoping that someday . . .

Bobbi Jo - you are my inspiration with your blogging! I know that I have become a huge slacker in that dept!! I need to get my act together. :)
I just read your blog and I was at Sup Ranch Market yesterday too!! What time were you there? I was there around noon to 1:00 (amazing how I can't remember things). Ha! It would have been so funny to run into you in Mesa. :) Love that place. I made homemade chili rellenos tonight with fresh tomatillo salsa from everything that I bought there. You can't beat the bargains there.
You are doing awesome with your menu planning. Way to go! I need to be more organized like you. Miss you my friend. :)
