Menu Plan Monday & This Past Weekend

It is Menu Plan Monday with Laura at Organized Junkie. Being that my DH and DS were both to the doctor on Friday evening and the doctor telling them that they needed to change their diets. My DH triglycerides that should be in the healthy range of 0-149 are up over 2000! And the doctor said he was surprised he wasn't having chest pains or sign of pancreatitis due to all the terrible levels of everything else. DS might have high blood pressure. But further blood tests will find this out. So I am taking on the low-fat/diabetic menu. I have to change things around in recipes to do this but the family I am sure will all benefit. So here is my menu:
White Barbecue Chicken
Roasted Potatoes
Corn on the cob

Molasses Pork Tenderloin
Hot Cranberry Apples
Steamed Broccoli

Beef Macaroni Casserole
Beets
Garden Salad

Swedish Meatballs
Rolls
Italian Green Beans (This was suppose to be made last week)

Summer Saute'
Wild Rice

Homemade Chicken Noodle Soup
Biscuits

This past Saturday DH took DS and 3rd DD to go dove hunting. Well the day was a success. DH and DS got their limit. DD Faith shot her very first animal/dove she was so proud of herself. She isn't real wild about having to touch the dead bird though.

Love the first picture, it just cracks me up!

On Sunday my sweet niece Meredith was down from Colorado for a baby blessing of one of her BIL. She and her wonderful family came over to visit us for a not nearly long enough visit. She is so much fun to talk with her and her hubby JT. My face was sore from laughing so much by the time they left. Meredith you and your family are always welcome at our home! We love you guys!
We had a good time at church feeling the spirit fill our hearts with testimonies that were bared.
So now it is on to another week. I hope to make this a productive one. We have our DS turning 16 on Wed. and getting his licences. Time goes by so fast!
Have a great day! Hugs, Bobbi Jo
