Forgot To Post

Oh my goodness you would think I was the busiest person in the world but no. I forgot to post the past 2 days. I have been enjoying my days. The weather has cold off a good bit and I am loving it!
Herby has been hanging out with Santa baker.
Monday night Faith had a orchestra concert.
She told me she would be sitting on the left side of the stage or right depending on who you talk to.
So we sat on the left side. Unfortunately see the girl in the blue shirt with the bun? Well that is not Faith but that is where she was sitting last time.
Faith is the one in the pretty pink hat.
I moved over and zoomed in on her.
This is after the concert. She did a great job!
Love this girl.
Gabby all of the sudden had a loose tooth and wiggled it until it came out.
The three girls went along with a couple of Faith's friends to the store
Gabby saw this idea on Pintrest and bought all the yummy candy and made a cute candy slay.
She is such a goofball.
Love this girl too!
Sorry about the quality of this next picture.
The girls had gone with the YW leaders to the Temple on an early Saturday morning to take pictures.
On Tuesday night they had a white elephant exchange. The leaders made each of the girls
a beautiful picture of them in front of the Temple.
At the top of it it says "I love to see the Temple" in black then in white it says "I'm going in some day".
Love them. I will be hanging them in the living room per the girls request.
Hope everyone is having a good week so far.

Goofy Things

It has been a somewhat not super busy but fast week for us. I have been frustrated with my workouts or trying to work out. Finding out that after two or three weeks of not using muscles they start the process of disuse atrophy. Well during the first 4 weeks of recovery the muscles I used were for walking, going to the bathroom, eating and talking. Needless to say these last 2 muscles are in great shape. My endurance just flat out stinks and I tire out going up our stairs in our house to our room. NOT COOL!! But I will chug along and it WILL get better, regain my strength, stamina and energy again.

A few weeks ago I got my hair cut but 2 short days later I was getting what I call the dog ears in my hair. This is when the hair right around the ears starts to stick out and on me it looks like dog ears. So I called my sweet friend and neighbor who cuts & colors my hair in trade for massages to cut my hair again. I told her I wanted it short, spiky and sassy just how I was feeling. So she did! And this is an view of it at the spikiest points.
I don't think hubs likes (nothing was said and he was home when I left to get it done & there when I got back.) He likes hair flat, and due to the party moving from the back to the top but I like it. It can be dried with my hand shaking through it and a blow dryer. How easy it is to fix. LOVE it! I kind of wish I had my maroon hair coloring on it though.

Gabby likes to play with things while she is doing school and she sometimes get's a little distracted making things. Today when she was working on it she came in a plopped this little guy down on my desk.
I think he is cute! It helps that he is pink
Again today as Gabby was doing (supposed) to be doing school work she comes in and says to me ,"Mom, I have a lazy eye."
She is such a goofball. I guess that is one of the reasons I get along with her so well.
Hope you all have a great Saturday. Hugs, Bobbi Jo

Wednesday Gabby's Sewing & Update

Gabby has started working on Christmas presents lately. She made some pottery last week while I was in the hospital. I apologize I don't have a picture of those.
Knowing her friends don't read my blog I figured it was okay to post these sweet little "Stuffed Thingies" as Gabby calls them.
This is the one she made & gave to me

Below are pillow's she mad the pink ones are for her bed
and the Halloween one is for our couch.
These are the other ones she made for gifts.
I think they are super cute!

Yesterday I went to the two Dr.s that did my surgeries. I went in to the first and they removed my catheter. They checked to make sure it was awake and functioning and all went well so I was able to have it permanently removed. YEA!! Yes I did a happy dance and even gave the nurse a hug. I am just weird that way I get happy and celebrate. I go back on Nov. 11TH for the 6 week check up to get full clearance.
Alan and I went to lunch to a restaurant called Smash Burger . I had been hearing about this place since I was in the professional program and it was so yummy! Of course I have been eating very light and not very much. So I would suggest if there is one near you go on a day date and have a yummy burger and smash fries. SOOOO good!!
Then Alan had a few stops to make for work and I just sat in the truck enjoying being out and about with him.
We then went over to the Dr. who did my hernia repair. He checked his work and said it looked great. He gave me medical clearance to do light house work, no lifting , no heavy housework, no bending, no twisting, and a few other things that have left my mind right now.
YEA!! I was super excited to have this great news from both doctors. I feel better each morning and throughout the day I see little differences of progress.
I will not be able to do massage till after the Nov. 11TH clearance also depending on what happens with the Dr. on Thurs. & Fri.
I will take this time to recover and enjoy my progress that I make.
One more to share of big news. I actually got sleep last night. I have been off pain medicine since Sat. evening and I have been having to sleep on my back all nigh. I am not a back sleeper at all. Last night I carefully rolled myself over to my right side, this took a while then placed a pillow under my ab area and slept! Talk about feeling so much better. I actually slept in till 4:20 this morning. Felt so good!
My midsection is still very swollen and huge but this too shall pass. Happy to be doing better and able to sleep on my sides.

Catch Up Two

So all of the sudden Gabby realized that since I am the Queen she IS a Princess. She wears the tiara well.

Faith enjoys playing on the computer listening to her songs.
Faith is giving a big thumbs up for her cuteness!
This is Gabby after sitting and playing Farm Ville for 3 days. She is a goofball.
I made homemade play dough for the girls. Gabby & Faith helped with the coloring of it.
So squishy and fun to play with and I love the colors.
Gabby's snowman...she must be thinking of cooler weather.
Look it is happy play dough!
As they say on the infomercials......"But wait, there's more!"  Hugs, Bobbi Jo

Halloween Decorating And My Quick Craft

I decorated my house almost 2 weeks ago for Halloween. I like Halloween but not the yucky or scary things. I am way to chicken for things like that, plus I want the house to be full of uplifting pretty things. I wanted to share some pictures.
This is in our entry way
The All Hallows Eve banner I made last year
Hard to get a picture of it without the sun shining through.
The dining room light
Table in dining room area
The item you can't see in the front very well is a sign that says Halloween. It is sparkly with glitter. Bought it at Wal-Mart.
Area above kitchen cabinets
Saw this on Maratha's blog and thought they were so cute.
This sits in front of my sink on the island.
My teapot that hangs in the kitchen
This cat door hanger I bought a couple of years ago at Jo-Ann's. The vintage or vintage remakes are my favorite types of Halloween decorations .
I had in my plans to make a Halloween tree to decorate but no branches to be found yet. Still looking! There is much more throughout the house and the front of the house but I had so many already.
I emptied my box of Truvia last week. By the way I love this sugar it doesn't give me a stomach ache like Stevia or Sweet-n-low. Anyway I was looking at it thinking that it is such a great box. I thought to myself what could I do with it? So today I had the erg to do a craft so I covered the Truvia box.
I used glue sticks and glue dots to put the paper on.
As the progress continues
Inside after it is covered
And the top of it I think it turned out cute.
It took care of the need to be crafty in a short period of time. Still working on ideas for Christmas and love what I am finding. If anyone wants to share some I would appreciate it.
Hope everyone is having a great Wednesday. Mine has been good so far. Hugs, Bobbi Jo

Halloween is 4 Days Away & I am Crafting

It is funny Halloween is not my favorite Holiday other than I love dressing up and decorating for it. I wanted to share a few little crafts I have been working on or worked on in the past. This is a decoration I made a while back that is made out of wood. I hung it on my pumpkin.
I have seen things like this done on other blogs. I used an old picture frame , some scrap booking paper for the background and I used one of the paper dolls from Mary Engelbreit's Home Companion magazine. I cut out all the little goodies by her too. (That was a little bit of a pain due to they are so small.) I love the little saying you can't see it but it is in the upper right corner it says,"Every girl is a Princess on Halloween."
I have seen this on some blogs also with different sayings in them. Coco and I decided to make monthly signs using this picture frame. I like the way it turned out and my little feathered friend is just checking out the kitchen.

The selections of tea’s are for the following:

Perfect Peach Tea – Great for a pick-me-up in the middle of the day.
Cozy Chamomile Tea- For after the day is over or when you have a quiet reading time in class.
Sweet Dreams Tea- This is for the end of the day to help relax and get a good night sleep.
Hershey’s Goodnight Kisses- This is very soothing after a long, busy or stressful day. May I suggest a warm bath & a good book with this?
Chocolate Sticks- These are just plain good anytime.
Thank you for all you do to teach us and help us.

And this paper that is famous quotes-
And this is one of the four bags. I hope they like them. The apple dip is good and not too sweet.
Today as I was out taking care of errands with Coco and Talmage, Alan called me. Well I get distracted easily, so Alan and I are talking and all of the sudden I see in the back of this truck a beautiful framed mirror. It was huge and the detail on the frame was unbelievable. So I blurted out that the mirror was beautiful, and as corny as it sounds Alan says to me,"Any mirror you look in is beautiful! " AW! It made me feel good anyway.
Then last but not least I got a post then a special phone call from my loving SIL Renee' who gave me some of the sweetest complements and made me cry. I love you Renee' and thank you for making my day.
So Tuesday is almost over for me. Tomorrow is Wednesday so you know what that means. Get your list ready to share what your working on with Leslie.
So off to have a cup of herbal tea, a warm bath and share a few minutes with my Heavenly Father to thank him for all the wonderful people and blessings in my life. Hugs, Bobbi Jo

Craft Day with lots of pictures

This morning Faith, Gabby and 2 of their friends, Taylor and Guiana, came over to make crafts. My good friend and neighbor, Melony my walking buddy, came over with her daughter Taylor. We made a project called Sleepy Little Bunny, Jelly Bean Chick, Foam Easter Egg decorations, Spring Visor (picture to come on these ones); we also made a take home treat for the families of Rice Crispy Nest with peeps and eggs. We had a good time. The girls really seemed to love all the projects. After we were done with crafts the girls colored the Easter eggs. We did five dozen this year. Love the beautiful colors of spring. Everyone have a Happy Easter. Hugs, Bobbi Jo
