Pink Saturday~ Deck The Halls

Joining in with Beverly over at How Sweet The Sound
for Pink Saturday
The theme this week is ~Deck the halls~
This year I have not gone all out with decking the halls like years past.
I am not sure why. It isn't that I don't like Christmas I love Christmas
Something is different this year I am calmer, not stressing and wanting more of the true
meaning of Christmas to fill the home as never before.
It seems to have gone from 169 days till Christmas to 10 days till SO FAST!
Now for the sharing of Deck the Halls
This is the Christmas tree that Gabby set up in her's and Faiths room
An ornament she made from packing popcorn (or as we call it ghost poop)
when she was in the hospital in 2009
The pretty Angle she made for the top of the tree
 Down to the kitchen
My Mary Engelebreit "Bowly Chair"
My collection of soft Santa's in the dining area
Herby hanging on a candy bar ornament in the kitchen
This is in the entry way of our house
My snowman collection
Many of these were gifts or I made
Opps cut of snowman's head
In the living room on my hope chest are the tree trees.

This is a book that many years ago I thought was so sweet so I have 3 trees (several sets of different kinds)
due to this book The Tale of Three Trees
On the piano are my manger collections and of course my Jesus statue that is always on there.
Our 9 ft. Christmas tree in one corner
And my Pink decorated tree in one of the other corners.
I am excited for Christmas time
It will be much different this year than in years past
We only have 3 of our kiddos living at home
Coco & her family will be down around New Years
We will then celebrate Christmas with a gift exchange with them and Dallas & Sara.
Enjoying the season as much as I can
Happy Pink Saturday!

Forgot To Post

Oh my goodness you would think I was the busiest person in the world but no. I forgot to post the past 2 days. I have been enjoying my days. The weather has cold off a good bit and I am loving it!
Herby has been hanging out with Santa baker.
Monday night Faith had a orchestra concert.
She told me she would be sitting on the left side of the stage or right depending on who you talk to.
So we sat on the left side. Unfortunately see the girl in the blue shirt with the bun? Well that is not Faith but that is where she was sitting last time.
Faith is the one in the pretty pink hat.
I moved over and zoomed in on her.
This is after the concert. She did a great job!
Love this girl.
Gabby all of the sudden had a loose tooth and wiggled it until it came out.
The three girls went along with a couple of Faith's friends to the store
Gabby saw this idea on Pintrest and bought all the yummy candy and made a cute candy slay.
She is such a goofball.
Love this girl too!
Sorry about the quality of this next picture.
The girls had gone with the YW leaders to the Temple on an early Saturday morning to take pictures.
On Tuesday night they had a white elephant exchange. The leaders made each of the girls
a beautiful picture of them in front of the Temple.
At the top of it it says "I love to see the Temple" in black then in white it says "I'm going in some day".
Love them. I will be hanging them in the living room per the girls request.
Hope everyone is having a good week so far.

Sunday

Today has been a good day
We went to church and I got spiritually filled.
We came home and Herby was sitting on the cookie jar waiting for us.
We ate lunch then had quiet time (Alan and I took a nap)
It was a much needed nap and it felt so good.
I went down stairs and silly Herby is just hanging out with Santa
What a nut!
Hope you are having a wonderful Sunday.

Sneaky Herby

This morning I had a hot stone massage appointment at the spa.
I went down stairs to leave and
look who was in my bag with my lotion, oil, holster, and treats.
Herby is a sneaky little elf.

Other than the working there wasn't much out of the ordinary or anything exciting today.

School Work & A Christmas Dinner

Tuesday Dallas came over and we went to Michaels.
Dallas wanted me to go with him to get his wife's Christmas presents.
Sara doesn't read my blog so I can tell you what he got her
He got her a sewing machine, supplies to begin sewing and a self healing cutting mat.
I think she will be excited, she wants to start making baby blankets.

We got back and Dallas had a final presentation he needed to finish up.
Herby decided that Dallas could use his help.
In the evening was Alan's work Christmas Dinner Party.
We went to Ranch de Tila Rosa. A nice Mexican restaurant with great ambiance.
I didn't take any pictures while we were there. We had a good dinner and good company
After dinner the Boss gave a short talk and wishing us all a Merry Christmas
When we left we were given these baskets of 4 flavors of popcorn.
It is so YUMMY!
It was a really nice party considering I wasn't looking forward to going at all.

Day 3 ~ Herby Everywhere

When I woke up this morning I found Herby right here.
He found a napkin for his blanket and jumped into the mint jar
He loves the smell so much. So much for sleeping in the guest room on the futon.

Today I had to go to the Dr. and Herby went with me
He really liked the soft pillow on the exam table.
It was nice having someone to talk to while waiting in the room
Herby will be joining us for Family Home Evening tonight.

I have been waiting since I think it was in September for this book to be available at the library.
It finally got available I was number 26 on the waiting list.
I have heard it is a fantastic book I am super excited to start reading it
then I'll let you know what I think

Day 2 ~ Sunday & Herbys Adventure

This morning when I went downstairs I found Herby in the mint dish
Such a silly elf.
He said that it was nice and warm in there and it smelled super yummy.
 We went to church
Enjoyed Sacrament and Relief Society
I was waiting to set up an appointment during Sunday school
We got home and there was Herby sitting by one of the mangers we have
Next week he will have to go to church with us.
In a half hour we will be watching The First Presidency Christmas Devotional on the BYU channel.
Always an uplifting program that truly brings us the true meaning of Christmas.
