Making My Home Sing

Since I haven't posted in a little while I thought it was seriously time to do so. It has been a while since I joined in on Nan's fun Making Your Home Sing Monday. This past week has been a good one. I have been busy working on projects all over and outside our home. This week my plan to Make My Home Sing is to continue to work on the house. My plans are to finish up a wall that has needed the bottom edge painted for almost 3 months now, work on & finish painting my daughters bunk beds, get their room put together, finish hemming the curtains and put them up, to continue to clear out and clean up organizing every drawer & room. This has been the project that I went big time with last week.
I was reading from a blog about downsizing that said too many of us have items in our home just because they match the carpet or walls it has nothing to do with the love we have for the object. I am using this to help simplify our home. This will help to cut down with the cleaning and maintaining the items. Hugs, Bobbi Jo

Wow! How fun to be fixing up your house like that, lot of work though!

It really is true that sometimes we'll buy something because it "goes" but it doesn't mean that we love it!

It always feels so good to fix things up a bit and get rid of clutter at the same time. Have fun and thanks for linking up to Making Your Home Sing Monday! It's great to have you again!

That's a productive week! I have to tell you- one of my best friends' stories. It's stuck with me, and your week reminds me. Her husband has a general rule of thumb. Once a month, they go through all ...and I mean ALL...of their processions. If they hadn't used it that month, they donate it. Last month, he donated her sewing machine. She got home, and was devastated. Only afterward, she realized she was so attached to the THING, she had looked past the fact that her husband was doing her a favor! They didn't use it. It took up space. So, it now helps another family that needed it more. :)
