My Prize With Other Fun Things

Yesterday after I took E'lyse for her permit. Yes she got it and passed the first time. She was so happy and so was I. I don't like those offices they always smell.Anyway we stopped by to get the mail and there was a package there for me.
I got my beautiful doilies that I won. The work on these are beautiful.
Here is the one with the pumpkins on our dining room table with a harvest candle burning in the center. It looks as good as I thought it would. Love it! Thank you again Marilyn of
This next picture of the pretty roses are from Tuesday night. Alan bought the three girls each a rose and matching vase. They know how I love flowers so they put them on the kitchen island in front of the sink so I can enjoy them too.
About 2 weeks ago I go into the upstairs hall where our daughters have their rooms and there are new signs on their doors.
This is Faith & Gabby's. It plays the song "I Feel Good". Too funny and perfect for these two
This is from E'lyse's door.
This is my patriotic rooster in my kitchen from 9/11
This is from a kit that Gabby had. They are called Picsos. We got it at Good Will for her a while back and the other night before bed she came over with this little guy for me.
I am so blessed to have a wonderful family, friends near and far such as you. Thank you for visiting hope you will come back very soon. Hugs, Bobbi Jo

Evening of Excellence

On Tuesday night our ward had the Young Woman's Evening of Excellence program. This is for girls ages 12 to 17. This is a time the girls are noticed for the remarkable people they are. Ahead of time they have different values that they work on and have it on display to share with the families.

Gabby's Birthday

On Monday night we celebrated Gabby's 11TH Birthday.
Last year at this time Gabby had her Birthday at Cardon's Children's Medical Center .
The people of the Child Life Services at the hospital made it special for her but, I think she was glad to celebrate here at home.
Gabby wanted a Toll House Pie for her "cake".

Gabby's favorite FREAK ME OUT scary face
Blowing out the candles
The tradition of putting all the candles in your mouth (Dallas got out of this one this year.)
Gabby and her new Blue Jay Webkins
Gabby loves corn and let's you know constantly so Faith made her a picture about her love of corn.
Gabby opening more gifts
My baby girl is now 11 years old
Children are so fun and I love having traditions with my family. I hope they will continue these with theirs in the future.
Friday night Gabby is having a Costume Birthday Party with her BFF's I will be taking many pictures to share.

Dallas' Birthday

Trying to catch up on my blogging here so bare with me. Last year on Dallas' Birthday was the day that Gabby had to go to the hospital for pancreatitis so his Birthday party/dinner didn't happen. So this year we made sure it did. He requested Philly Steak Sandwiches & pork and beans.
Below is Dallas & his girlfriend Sara.
Dallas wanted self filled cupcakes for his birthday "cake" this year.

Dallas just blew out the candles
His new hat

Shot gun shells for bird hunting. (I think he likes them)
Gabby got Dallas a box of oatmeal cream pies and decorated the box so they had faces and party hats on.
Now Dallas is 19 years old. He had a good Birthday.

Friday And All Over The Place

My third child and second daughter E'lyse got her school pictures back and I think they turned out really good. She is so pretty. I must apologize for the quality of the picture. My scanner was giving me fits so I took a picture of the picture.

Today is Friday and I don't know why but I am so happy it is. It has been a very busy week. I have gotten a lot accomplished but there is still so much to still be done.
I went in for a EKG earlier this week and got the medical clearance for my surgeries. I am glad that I am able to have these done although I am not looking forward to the recovery or time in the hospital it will be wonderful to have things taken care of.

This morning Gabby and I went grocery shopping. Gabby has done some babysitting and had earned some money. Our conversation at the store went like this.
Gabby : Can I spend my money on something I really want to get?
Me: Probably. What are you wanting to get?
Gabby: I want to buy some toys for my hospital. (Cardon Children"s Medical Center)
Me: Sure if that is what you want to do with it.
She goes to the toys to start shopping I go around the corner with tears in my eyes feeling very proud of her to do that for the other children that have to go there. They have been so good to her every time she has to go in. She also bought her brother, Dallas, a Birthday gift for his Birthday tomorrow.

Tonight we are having Dallas' Birthday dinner. He is having his girlfriend Sara and one of his buddies over too. We are having Philly Cheese Steak Sandwiches , beans, salad and self filled cupcakes. Dallas' request , well other than the salad he is not a big veggie fan.

Tomorrow night is the big Arizona Throw Back game. This is a game where all the players who won the World Series in 2001 will come back for a special time at the game. Dallas has always loved baseball and going to the games on every Birthday until last year, due to Gabby going in the hospital that day. Alan, Dallas, Sara, E'lyse & Faith are going to the game. I would love to go being that I am a huge fan of baseball but Gabby didn't want to go so she and I will do something fun at home.

By the way Diamond backs are 7 games ahead of last years champions. Could it be another one for our home team? I hope so!!

So now that I have gone all over the place with this post I will close for now. I need to go get the sandwiches going for dinner. Hope everyone is having a great Friday. Hugs, Bobbi Jo

Wednesday

Today has been a good day. I made dinner for tonight yesterday so that was done. Gabby and I did some grocery shopping, her schooling and I have been working on cleaning, clearing and de-cluttering. This includes my computer I was sorting my pictures and came across this one of Gabby from the waiting room at Cardon Children's Medical Center. She was waiting to go in for her remicade treatment. She is such a nut!

Hope everyone is having a great Wednesday. Hugs, Bobbi Jo

Labor Day Weekend

Time to start another week and it is Tuesday but feels like Monday.
I hope that everyone had a great & safe Labor Day Weekend.
Our family minus Dallas, went to Pinetop on Saturday morning to visit with Coco, Kyle, Talmage and Naima. It was great to get out of the valley but most of all to see them. We really didn't do anything to special. We hung out at their house most of the time and enjoyed visiting, watching TV on Netflix and playing with the kiddos.
One of the biggest crazes going around has been planking. Well Talmage likes to just throws himself on the ground and there is a big thud from his head and he laughs. We talked him into laying on the top of our cooler and planking.
Of course I took a picture just for you all.

Talmage was coloring and I said that since Dallas wasn't there he should draw a picture for him that I could take home. He got excited and for the first time he drew people.
Coco has been waiting for this moment that he could draw people with the big circle heads and smiles. The picture is in Talmages words: "Grandma you are on top, Dallas (on the left side) this is me Talmage when I was just little and Grandpa on the bottom."
Too cute!
Then in the night time Coco decided to play with E'lyses hair. WOW! It was so funny when Coco started teasing it, E'lyse could see what she was doing and Coco kept making silly faces the more it stood up.

On Sunday after church we went for a ride and picnic to Holly Lake. We didn't stay long due to we didn't have a day permit. We thought it was kind of stupid they had a sign that there was not camping or fishing with out a permit they didn't say anything about stopping to eat. So we had just got done eating when a officer came up and talked with us. He let us go without a ticket.
On Monday morning we loaded up and headed home.
I love to go on trips and visit people and places but the famous words of Dorthy from the
Wizard Of OZ , "There's no place like home."
Today is a day of catching up on things around here as far as chores that get done normally on Mondays, Working with Gabby on homeschooling, running to the library and store and I have an EKG appointment at noonish.
Hope everyone has a great day. I will be around sometime later this evening to visit blogs.

Look What I Got

It is finally here. I ordered this when they had the pre-order on Matthew Mead's site. The book is so pretty. The pictures are beautiful and make me want to start decorating right now.

One of the contributors to the book is Stephanie Nielson of Nie Nie Dialogus . She is such an inspiration to so many of us. She has a section called "Back To School" talking about traditions as a family. There are fun pictures of her and her family. Love the ideas she shares.
The book is just chalk full of fun and beautiful things to cook, make and do. I am super excited about getting to do some of these in the near future.
I have been having a few problems lately and this is just what I needed to pick me up.
Hugs, Bobbi Jo
