It is Monday and almost the end of July. I can hardly believe it. This first half of the year has gone by so fast. Pretty soon the kiddos will be back and school and life will get into the routine of school time. E'lyse's high school has gone to a modified year round school schedule, I Think the Jr. high school might be doing the same thing being that they start on August 8TH. Today Faith, Gabby and I went shopping for school supplies. We came home and I got to work on the rest of my chores with a little bit of computer time.
After being gone for 5 days it was nice to be home back in my familiar surroundings although I miss Coco and her family so much. I wish we lived up there so I could be there to help out more. Oh well.
So we started a couple new things in our home. I didn't come up with the ideas I saw them on a You Tube vlog I follow and I presented it to the family and they agreed that they would be good with it. First thing is Meatless Mondays. Now I have been meatless for a little while now so no biggy to me but I have heard doing this can cut down the groceries a good bit.
Tonight on the menu is Toasted cheese sandwiches, corn on the cob and fresh cantaloupe and honey due. YUMMY!
We spend $150 a week. This includes all paper products, cleaning items, toiletries and food this is for 5 of us so not too bad. I do buy a lot of fresh produce too. What do you all spend on groceries? I am curious. I think I can go lower so now I just have to get that down. More working on this.
The 2ND thing is sugar only on weekends and Monday night for FHE. Alan was not thrilled about this one but he said he wouldn't bring any sweets home or ask anyone make anything. Now remember Alan is diabetic so he shouldn't be eating so much sweets anyway. But the man certainly has a sweet tooth.
Good news Alan has decided to give up soda. He was drinking 5-7 52oz. Diet Pepsi's a day. That is a lot of soda. When we were visiting Coco last week he asked if I would do him a favor? I said sure, what? He said that he wanted to get off soda but he get's terrible headaches from it so asked if I could work on his neck when the headaches come? Of course I said yes. Not only will it be healthier for him, he will feel better and save money from not stopping to buy a drink every time. So as of today he has been off Diet Pepsi for 5 days. YEA!!
Have a great Monday! Hugs, Bobbi Jo

Some Home Ec
Today at lunch time Gabby said she was hungry and wanted a Big Mac. I told her we weren't going out to eat. She said well can I make my own here at home. I said sure so we got patties out of the freezer, she chopped up some spinach instead of lettuce and I always keep secret sauce in the fridge. (Doesn't everyone? )
We proceeded outside and I taught her how to fire up the grill and cook the perfect (or what we consider perfect for us) hamburgers.
This is what it looked like when she got it all put together
Pretty good job huh?
I know you are just dying to sing the theme song out loud.
Go for it, it will make you feel better.
This Gabby and her homemade Big Gab Burger!!
Can't wait till the next cooking, grill or baking class.
Hugs, Bobbi Jo

Home Schooling
I had been doing online/homeschooling (using an online school program in our state) with Gabby since the beginning of the year. She has not been super thrilled about most of the work being on the computer and in her words it was boring, until last week.
After doing some research on programs that would give her the hands on that she wanted, the knowledge that she needs to get a good education but not cost a lot of money if any at all I found one. We are now using the K-12 program. After registering her into the school and filling out the needed paper work to get her started up the school was in touch with me through emails to get started right away. Supplies were sent within 4 days and continuing contact on all that was suppose to be happening.
True we are only a little over a week into it but it is so organized, all the supplies were delivered to us, they have online training for the Learning Coach (me), continuing learning classes to help me be able to help her learn and understand the material and a teacher ready to help at any time. LOVE IT!
The program is so organized and Gabby seems to enjoy it a lot. As her elective she is taking French as her foreign language (how fun is that!)
This is Gabby on Thursday morning as she was doing school work. The house was cold & I startled her when I took the picture

So Much
There has been so much going on since I last posted on my blog. I have to keep myself off the computer most of the time or I can spend all day on her reading blogs and daydreaming about the time to do crafts and such.
Being that June 4th was the last I posted there has been changes in our family. Coco & her sweet family just moved back to my old stomping grounds in Pennsylvania. Kyle got a job and was suppose to start in August then it got moved up to July 5th they would leave then the ended leaving on my Birthday. They did come down 5 days early and when I got home from school at 7 on Wed. night they were here and a family surprise Birthday party was on. Such a surprise and a fun time!
They left that Thursday afternoon, WAY too soon for this kid.
Saturday I had my usual clinic and worked on some wonderful people. Got a fantastic evaluation from the director of our school. So glad when my clients are feeling great when they get off the table.
On Monday at lunch time my sweet friends had a Birthday surprise party for me. I got a giant bag of Peanut M & M's from my sweet BFF Joy and sweetVeronica got me the Crown and the tiara and the septer where with my cake. The cake was so yummy! My sweet friend Emillio brought in home made chips and salsa (one of my favs!) and sweet Sylvia brought in some other munchies. It was really fun!
I have passed all my classes. Took Russian, got an A and learned 80 different strokes.I also passed Structural II got a B in it. It was suppose to be the toughest written exam. I am now taking Trigger Point, Injury, Pro. D 4, Anatomy III and Pathology II. I love pathology it is amazing I love learning about all the different pathologies. Graduation is coming fast I have 4 weeks left of the Professional program then I have a Sunday off then start the Masters Program. Really excited about that! I have made some wonderful friends at school. Some of who I plan on doing charity events with and some money earning opportunities.
I have decided to give up soda. I have been playing around with about a 10 pound weight fluctuation since around Feb. and I am tired of it. I want to lose more weight so I can be in better shape to work on people. To set the example of good health and taking care of our bodies. I think it is important to walk the walk and talk the talk.
The kiddos are doing good. Supporting me while I am crazy busy and not much time devoted to being Mom. I can't believe how much time is needed to study, do homework and the time to travel to and from school. I know it is worth it and I love the learning new things and the opportunity of working on people.
So it is almost the 4th of July. Very excited about this weekend and camping. It has been such a long time for us to get away like this it is going to be fun and I have 4 days off!!
So until I post again I hope all of you are doing well. Hugs, Bobbi Jo

Time Is Flying
WOW! 20 more days till Christmas. I am not ready but I am also not stressing! Also 1 month from today I start school. So much to get accomplished before I start school. Working on things each day.
Since boot camp my upper thighs are so sore. I did my cardio yesterday and will doing it again today. Amazing how you can think your in decent shape and you do exercises that are so different than what you have been up to that it just totally kicks your butt. I love it though and I know in the long run I will be a stronger person for it. Hope everyone is having a great day. Hugs, Bobbi Jo
