Happy Halloween

Wanted to wish everyone a Happy Halloween
I must admit Halloween has become one of my least favorite holidays.
It seems to have gotten way to gross and scary.
I don't like being scared at all
I am a BIG CHICKEN!
Since we went to the Trunk or Treat on Saturday night we are
staying home, having treats and watching movies.
For those who enjoy Halloween be safe & have fun!

Halloween Wind Up

I am not a huge fan of Halloween. I use to be but it has got way out of hand with the grossness and money that it costs for candy & costumes. I would be just happy going to the Trunk or Treat and our church and calling it good. But that didn't cut it this year for our youngest Gabby. Faith opted out for this years Trick or Treating. So Gabby and 2 of her BFF's went with us walking around. We went to our two neighborhoods and it took us 2 hours of walking.
There was one house that is set up super gross with a guillotine, electric chair and gross bloody fake people in their front yard. EWW! I won't even look at their yard if I am driving down the street.
The girls insisted on going down the street. I told them as long as it was right as it was getting dark. So we did. The girls went up in their pretty costumes and said trick or treat. The owner lady who was wearing a bloody shirt said to the girls "Oh you want a treat! ", and proceeded to pick up a chain saw & start it up as she chased them. I was a little more than ticked off that someone would do this to three 11yr.old girls. I was so upset. She proceeded to tell the girls that the blade was taken off of the saw ( oh that is comforting). Anyway we kept on walking down the street to houses and all of the sudden we hear the chain saw close to us and the idiot lady was walking down the street with it firing it up. Now I don't mean to be a stick in the mud but not everyone likes this kind of terror especially little kids or whimpy Mom's like me.
So we got done and back home where I felt safe and secure.
Sorry about the rant I just don't think some people get it. To me Halloween is no longer for the kiddos it is for adults. It is now the #1 adult holiday passing up New Years Eve.

Now for pictures to wrap up this holiday.

This is a picture of Gabby with the eyes she made at Ainsley's house out of bendies. She likes to creep her sister out with them.
Naima in the bathtub pretending she was Santa with the bubbles on her face
Faith carving her pumpkin
E'lyse and her super hero pumpkin Spider Man
Talmage making a scary face
Cute pumpkin Gabby made at Achievement Day

Naima isn't scared of much but this silly paper spider she didn't care for

Talmage the night of Trunk or Treat as Batman then about 15 min. before we left he decided to be Buzz Light year (sorry no pics of that one!)
Naima as a pretty girl pirate
Gabby as Pumpkin Girl
Sara as a Bumble Bee and Dallas as a Biker
I may be a party pooper but not sure if I will be celebrating Halloween next year. We will see! Hugs, Bobbi Jo

Funny Thing Happened

Last night Faith, Gabby and I went Trick or Treating . The night was beautiful and we were having a good time. We get to the last street in our neighbor hood. This street the people go all out and some a little over board with the grossness items. This one house was just one of those houses. They have a guillotine and a graveyard with a lot of nasty things that just gross me out. I try not to look as I drive by it is that bad. My girls are really wanting to go down this street and to this house. The people are nice but at Halloween it just creeps me out. As we are walking up I notice some extra figures, one in the yard and one in the drive way and 2 people sitting in lawn chairs. My 9 yr. old Gabby walks up the one man in the lawn chair and says as she points to the figure in the driveway,"If that thing moves I am going to hit it." The man says ok so she goes over to it and the guy lets out a growl and lunges at her. Gabby swings her half full pillow case of candy at him and proceeds to chase him as he runs away. She gets her candy and so does Faith. The guy then walks back over and Gabby does the same thing again. The other guys are laughing so hard. It was really funny to see my little Purple Pixy chasing this big guy hitting him with her candy sack. So that is how we ended the Trick or Treating. We came home the girls did their usual candy exchange and then showers, T.V. and relax before bed.
Hope everyone had a fun and safe Halloween. I do have to say I am glad that it is over I am not thrilled with the scary movie previews and ghost shows that are on TV this time of the year. Let's move on to my favorite holiday Thanksgiving. Hugs, Bobbi Jo

My New Do

Growing up from the age of 13 till 21 I did hair shows. This means I had a new hair style or color sometimes both about every month. I get bored of my hair one way too long.
So today my friend Amy did her magic to my hair. I love it! It is business in the front and

Party in the back
Now for highlights in the front.
If I look tired it is due to having to pick up son late last night as a fairy and getting up early this morning. My day was busy running all over the place but got a lot done. Sleep will come later tonight. going to the Trunk or Treat at our church. I made corn bread and Gooey Pumpkin Cake to go with the chili cook off before.
This is my little fairy "Twinkles" (E'lyse) as she got home from school today. Now my fairy name is "Sparkles".
Miss. Twinkles
Have a fun Friday night! Hugs, Bobbi Jo

Why Me?

The day was spent finishing up my daughter, E'lyses (13yrs. old) Halloween costume she decided she wanted to change it 2 days before the big day. So we shopped and had a lot of fun. She decided on a purple fairy. While shopping I spotted some pink fairy wings and of course couldn't pass them up for myself. So last night I had to pick up my son from his girlfriends house after they had gone to a wedding. Being that I don't like driving that far away from the house at night by myself I asked if E'lyse wanted to go with me. She said yes then said we should dress as fairies to get him. Me liking to dress up and wanting to wear my pink wig and wings I said, 'Sure!" So we get ready and head over. It is now about 10:30 I am driving to get there and passed the main road I was to turn on so I flip a u and get back to the road and turn right. All of the sudden red and blue lights flashing behind me! EEEKKK!! What is it about these lights that scare the tar out of me? So I pull over in the first parking lot. The cop walks up the van door, shines his light in my face that has sparkles, makeup and me in my pink hair and wings and says,"Well I have never stopped anyone with pink hair before." He takes my license and heads to his car to check it out. My daughter is laughing so hard saying," This is so cool. You getting stopped by a cop dressed as a fairy. Wait till I tell my friends!" So he left me with a note of how to turn a right corner and stay in the close lane and a good evening. Thank you Mr. Police man for not giving me a ticket. I appreciate it!
So this is my life. Why me? Why not I say. I love life and will continue to get caught being a dork throughout it. So what can we do but smile and enjoy! Have a great Friday! Hugs, Bobbi Jo

Happy Halloween!

Happy Halloween Everyone!

I was Boo'd by Coco at her blog Get With It Mom.

So I get to BOO some of my blogging friends!
Go to as many friends as you want and tell them that they've been "BOO!-ed". They should link back to your blog, pick up the cool Halloween pic, and BOO! their friends. Then put the pic in your sidebar so that everyone knows you've already been "BOO-ed" and to share the pic with someone else. Have a safe and fun Halloween.

Today I have errands to take care of then home for some crafting. Coco, Kyle and Talmage are leaving to go up to Pinetop for the weekend. It will be strange not having them around here. Tonight I will be taking the girls Trick or Treating and then home for a relaxing evening of watching a movie or TV show and hanging out with the family.
Gabby made Ghostie at school today! BOO!!

I hope you all have a great day and please be careful out there. Hugs, Bobbi Jo
