Happy Pink Saturday

Happy Pink Saturday! On Friday Gabby came home with the perfect little pink addition for this week
It hasn't been given a name yet but he's so cute and soft. Faith has been working after school in the library and helping out teachers with cleaning. Gabby has been tutoring and started working with Faith on the cleaning. One of the Kindergarten teachers that use to be Gabby's teacher gave her this sweet little gorilla.

The next item is something I just loved when I saw it. This is a stuffed animal house in the little girls room. I am just in love with the fluff and of course the beautiful color of pink

That's it for this Pink Saturday. I hope everyone has a great weekend and a wonderful Pink Day!
Thank you to Beverly over at How Sweet The Sound blog who hosts Pink Saturday every week.

Happy Birthday Nellie

I want to send a bark out to the best companion, protector and side kick my dog Nellie. Today she is 8 years old. Nellie is a Australian Shepard/Boarder Collie. I wanted to get a small dog when the opportunity came to pick one I fell in love with Nellie. My Sister in Love had taken her to obedience school and she was a very tough and kind of mean dog. She actually picked me when she came and laid beside my feet. The kiddos have broken her mean spirit to a point.
Nellie is the queen of all pups of course what else would the queen have? She is a giant fur ball that follows me around where ever I go. So Happy Birthday my sweet Nellie Ann Houser Nichols.
A little more about Nellie and her bio.
Nellie loves music She loves big stuffed toys to play with
This is her favorite way to lay in-case some one happens by to give her a belly rub
My kiddos say she is an old crab but she's my buddy
Have a wonderful Friday. Hugs, Bobbi Jo

Let Us Remeber

On this day 8 years ago our country was attacked. What the terrorist thought would weaken us only made us stronger. Let us not forget those who lost their lives and also remember those who fight daily to protect our lives and keep us free.
A feeling of great loss to those who lost loved ones in the tragic attacks of 9/11. Prayers go out to you daily.
And to those brave men and woman of all the branches of the military Thank you so much for protecting us!
This picture is titled "New York City 9/11 Tribute in light" . It is one of my favorites.

Recap Of Tuesday And Watcha Workin On Wednesday

Tuesday was a good day even though Monday night didn't allow much sleep. Alan and I went to lunch. Yes I broke my eating program BIG TIME! It was so worth it. I have been desiring Mexican Food or the term Jonesing it! Not sure how that term came to be unless it is like keeping up with the Jones-es.. You know what I am talking about the chips, salsa that is just the right amount of spicy & hot that you can't stop eating it. And a shredded beef Chimichanga , enchilada style with guacamole. OH MAN did I enjoy it. Mi Amigos is one of my 2 favorite Mexican Food restaurants. I could eat there everyday if I was allowed too.
They had a great special yesterday that you could donate $1 and get a burrito. So we did our chimis that way and just had extra charges for the sauces and such. Great lunch!
In the afternoon Alan and I went to Faith's campaign speech. Remember I told you she decided to run for school President? She did a good job on her speech. Yes of course there are a picture or two but my computer won't let me upload them. Anyway she is very excited and today they will be voting and she will call and let me know. So everyone  please say a prayer for her.
After this we went home and when the little girls got home from school we went to Elyse's basketball game. Her team the J.O. Combs Cougars won 35 to 18. It was a really good game. I am so surprised at E'lyse  she said she isn't very good yet she was blocking shots and doing a great job at being a guard. Way to go E'lyse!
Now on to Whatcha Workin on Wednesday if you want to join in go on over to Leslie's blog My Country Home and sign up. My morning started at 4:45 I woke up and wasn't tired so I decided to get up and start my day. I made lunches, cleaned up lunch closet & shelves, did 2 loads of wash, folded darks and napkins and linens, I cleaned the stair rail banister and dusted all the tall frames including door frames, and  cleaned up living room before 5:30. I have been doing wash, making breakfast, made our bed & straightened up our bedroom and put away clothes. I am planning on getting the little girls room cleaned up, finish up Dallas's wash, run a couple errands and work on the master closet. We will see if I get to the last one today.
Well, I better get off of here and get back to work before I get too cozy sitting here.

Movie Review

First of all I need to share with you my friends in blog land. I have been trying new things. Trying to get out of my comfort zone. For many years I have had a weird fear of movie theaters so this was a big step for me and I lived through it. So step out and do something new today. I will tell you more of what I have been doing and trying later.
Last Friday Hubby and I went to the cheap matinee to see Julie & Julia. I was surprised that he wanted to see this.  I think he just wanted to see something that I wanted to see.
I grew up watching Julia Child and loved her joyfulness and love for food. I had also read about the kind of person she was and loved her positive attitude for life. Her energy shown through the TV to me.
The movie Julie & Julia I thought was a wonderful uplifting movie. Not only does it have yummy food shown throughout but also deals with blogging. Another love of mine. I recommend seeing it I really enjoyed it . I will be buying it when it comes out on DVD

Last night Hubby called me and asked if I would go to the movies again with him. I had seen the previews for this movie All About Steve and thought it looked very funny.
Sandra Bullock is a wonderful actress and you gotta love those red boots!
It was a good movie. Sandra is one of Hubs favorite actresses so that was a bonus.
The movie was very funny. Hubs said that Sandra or her character reminded him of me when I have a Diet Coke. WAY TOO MUCH ENERGY and talked a lot. Yep that's me never mind the Diet Coke effect.
The ending was a surprise but left me feeling glad I went to see it.
Hope you are all having a great Tuesday. Last week was a very off week for me but this week will be so much better. Hugs, Bobbi Jo

Happy Pink Saturday!

What a beautiful Pink Saturday waking up to overcast skies and wind. Oh how I love days like this. They certainly don't happen often enough for this gal in the valley of burning heat.
If you want to join in or find other Pink Saturday gals in blogland check out Beverly's Blog How Sweet The Sound . She is our lovely host every Saturday.
Since getting a comment from sweet Scrappy Girl saying she was wanting to scrap got me thinking I DO TOO! Then I started going through my drawers of scrapbook paper and the Pinks that I have. So many but I will just share a few. These are two of the newest ones. The back one is Pink flowers on a almost plastic clear page. It isn't velum it is thicker. The front one has the darker Pink is raised. So pretty!
One of my very favorite new papers fit for a queen
Also after looking around the internet found a few more of my Pink shoe passion to share. This one would be great to wear with a cute pair of jeans, shorts or a skirt out running around.
This one I can see going to out dinner with your honey wearing a beautiful dress similar in the fuchsia color

This one reminded me of Lady GaGa. Just love these shoes for a great night out dancing in a cute little dress.

It has started to rain here in Arizona. It is so welcomed and needed. Hope you all have a great Pink Saturday!
Hugs, Bobbi Jo

Extreme Makeover: Me Edition

It has been a while since I joined in on Extreme Makeover: Me Edition. If you want to  join in visit Amber at {aeflinkins} blog
The Question for this week is "What are you successes this week?"
I have been doing really good. Working out and eating clean. I am doing at least 1/2 hour cardio a day and loving it! I am also still doing the weight lifting and seeing progress there.
As of August 17th I have lost 14 lbs. I was at the same weight for almost a month and then finally broke through.
I have lost 1/2 in. on my neck, 1/2 in. each arm, 2 in. on chest, 1-1/2 in. chest, 3in. my belly, 2-1/2 in. waist, 1 in. on hips, 1 in. on each thigh, 1/2 in. on each calf.
I am so happy about all the loss I have had. I am feeling so much better mentally and physically it is amazing.
Hope everyone is having a great week. Hugs, Bobbi Jo
