I am joining in with Eva blogger of Lovers In Dangerous Time on a 30 Day's Of Blogging adventure. Something for me to post other than the same old same old that can get pretty mundane.
This is Day 1: Post a picture of yourself and 15 interesting facts about yourself. (Could be a challenge not sure how many interesting facts I can think of.) Thinking, thinking okay now I am ready. Picture first:
Now the 15 interesting (or not so interesting) things about me.
1. I have an Associates Degree in Fashion Merchandising.
2. My first modeling job was in a little store in PA for Kodak. Dad wouldn't let me do the job but got the pictures from it.
3. I am short on 5 feet 5 inches short. Ever since 5th grade I have been the same height.
4. Growing up I wanted to be 6 ft. tall (thank you genes it didn't happen).
5. I use to do catering.
6. I never thought I would get married or have children.
7. I went to finishing school.
8. I don't think there are very many true handsome men in the world. I think there are a lot of good looking men but not truly handsome.
9. I have OCD.
10. I had a heart attack when I was 32 yrs. old.
11. My favorite hobby of all time is crafting!
12. I love food. My favorite food is good, hot & spicy Mexican food.
13. I don't like taking showers. I am a total bath with bubbles and candles every night kind of gal.
14. I am scared of the dark. Seriously!
15. I love the rumble of a Harley Davidson in my ears.
And that is Day 1. Today I am taking Gabby for an update on her ultrasound that was done on Tuesday. I am hoping and praying it is something simple not anything serious. The poor girl has gone through too much already. It makes me sad to see her hurt.
Everyone have a great day! Hugs, Bobbi Jo

Desisions Made
First I must say thank you to Coco for spiffing up my blog for me. She got the pretty designs from www.Leelou-Blogs.com. So after the frustration of not getting into the badge class last week I was thinking "Is this what I really want to be doing? Is the money & time worth it?" And as I was praying about it, it came to me to talk with Janel. This is Alan's Mom. I would talk to my mother but she has Alzheimer's. So I met up with her and told her what I was feeling and she pretty much gave me the answer that I had felt. So with that being said Alan and I discussed it and he gave me his input on Sunday morning. I then decided what I must do.
As we had worked on the massage room the thought behind it would be that I could still be the homemaker (a job I truly love & enjoy) while having clients come to get massages and do the other job that I love while helping with income. So this is what came to my mind as I was weighing the pro's & con's of the corporate job.
I had decided I wouldn't take the job after all. I will concentrate on building up my clientele at home, work at Encanterra and be a homemaker. I also want to get back to crafting and good home cooking that has been may I say spars as of late.
I am very pleased with my decision. Now I feel I need to finish getting our house organized and cleared out of clutter that is holding us back mentally and physically. Now mind you our home is not a mess but there is way to much clutter around. I take that back our garage is SCARY!
Anyway, took Gabby in for her ultrasound yesterday and we will get follow up from the doctor tomorrow when we go in. Keeping prayers coming that it is not a major thing. She is such a trooper.
So until I post again.Take care! Hugs, Bobbi Jo

Work, Workout And Stress
Work has been going good. I had a very busy week last week at the spa. Love the place it is so beautiful and the staff there are a lot of fun. Clients have been a wide variety of great people.
I have tried 3 days this week to get the badge class in for the corporate job I start on the 28th. First day class was full by the time I signed in. 2nd day I got there and one of the papers for the contract was not faxed to me. 3rd day one of the papers was there but not signed by the lady that hired me. AHHHHHHHHH!!! This goes in the stress category. I am trying hard to stay up and positive but today has been hard. I just wanted to get the class done and move on.The class starts at 7 but I have to leave by 5 to get there by 6 to make sure I get singed in early. Alan tells me I am getting to upset about it all but that is the way I am.
Then we got a call that Gabby's liver count is really high. Even higher than after her last round of Remikade so she has to go in for an ultrasound next week and now I have to go back in for the class. So sad, I want to be there for her.
Workouts this week haven't been there. With getting up & having to leave that early (now my excuse) and coming home feeling frustrated & a little depressed I haven't felt that push. Yesterday I spent most of the day sleeping and freezing. I know I would feel an uplifting if I would just go hit the treadmill of something but feeling a little SO WHAT attitude. I hate when I do this to myself. After so many years of mental illness (major depression) and doing so well for a long time then it hits. It reminds me how much it stinks to be down. So I will get on with my pitty party today and tonight be better. I have maintained my weight loss just not feeling the confidence that I was.
So stress stinks! I try not to worry but it comes in and just puts itself in my mind. I will get over this stress that is invading my happiness.
So that is it for today. I will continue with my little party and move on. Another good cry is in store for tonight and then a hot bath, good book and a good night sleep. Starting tomorrow out with a workout on the treadmill and moving back to the motivation of health and happiness. Hugs, Bobbi Jo

Concert, Massage & Fun Oh MY
Yesterday was my first day working at the Alvea Spa at Encantera contry club. I was origianlly suppose to work 3 to 8 but got a text asking if I could work 11 to 8. I got there and it was amazing what they can do in just 2 days. there were vendor tents set up a huge stage for the concert and a lot of people.
Started doing chair massages about 2. There was all different kids of vendors there and it all smelled so yummy. Lunch was provided for us and it was yummy! I met some wonderful people.
Around 5 Kenny G was around the corner from our spot signing autographs. I went over and took a picture of him I was about 8 ft. from him but a lady stepped right in front of him as I took the picture but didn't see it till last night when I got home. Oh well at least I got to see him with my own eyes.
The energy was amazing, especially when Kenny G came on stage and started playing. He is such a talented sax player and a great sense of humor.
So my day was full of massages (around 50 chair massages), working with a fun group of people and meeting & working on some great people. It was a long day but so glad I had the opportunity to put the day in my life.
There are suppose to be 3 more concerts coming before May. It will be neat to see who is coming.
Time to get ready for church. Have a wonderful Sabath day. Hugs, Bobbi Jo

Life And Work
Life has been very good to me. Alan and I finished up the massage room and added a few more items still. I had a lady that specializes in Feng Shui Sandy Sue Feng Shui * http://www.BalanceYourLife.net take a look at my pictures of my room and make suggestions. She also did an element reading on me and I have been changing things according to her suggestions and I must say so far so GREAT! She is a sweet lady who is so helpful and answers questions completely. Don't doubt Feng Shui , moving things can change your life. I have changed the direction I eat & exercise and it may sound crazy but I noticed a difference the first day.
Coco is taking pictures for on my website that she also designed so I will let you know when that is up and running.
I have been working doing out-call at Juliens Salon & Day Spa. Then I had a few phone calls of other job openings. So Alan & I talked and decided while I work on getting my buisness to where I am busy enough I will take in more work. I went for a interview & hands on interview 2 weeks ago. I got a job working for a large corporation in Chandler 3 days a week starting February 28th.
I will also be working at Encantera- Alvea Spa http://www.encanterragolf.com/encanterra/page.asp?p=1124. This is at the country club there. I actually have my first day on Saturday. I will be giving chair massages during the outdoor concert of Kenny G's. What great music to work to!
I am very excited about the work that has come to me and I hope to be able to benefit many people with my touch.
I also finally have caught up with the times and got a BlackBerry phone. Now to learn how to use all of the wonderful features on it.
Hope everyone is doing well. Hugs, Bobbi Jo

Where Did My Week Go?
So we are almost at the end of the 2nd week of Janurary. Where did my week go? It has been busy and fun. I do want to add that I am down 3 pounds & regaining my energy. There has been a bug in our house that we have been fighting and I think I am at the end of it.
My massage room is almost at the DONE point. I have to press the curtains and get a cushion for the client chair and it will be done. It turned out much better than I pictured. Speaking of pictures I will post some here and announce my web site too when I am done & Coco comes down to do a shoot.
So off I go to get to work on my chores for the day. Have a great day. Hugs, Bobbi Jo

2011 Bring IT
2011 will be Fun, Fantastic and Fabulous. This I have decided. I am so excited about this year. Alan and I are both starting new adventures in our lives. He is doing a business that sells items kind of like a Costco or Sam's Club to larg businesses and takes care of inventory. He will be his own boss and this is something he has wanted for a long time.
Alan has been preping the room for painting. We bought the items needed for the room to get it moving along so hopefully by the end of this coming week it will be ready to take pictures for my website. So excited about this project.
One thing we have been focusing on is getting our lives in order. It seems like everything in our lives has gotten out of control and unorganized. So we started a major get rid of things and get organized. I LOVE this!
Coco started helping me to get rid of items in the den when we started to clear it out and I have been on a roll since. We have taken so many loads of STUFF to Goodwill they recognize us when we pull up.
Even this past Thursday I decided to get down the Christmas decoration to get a head start on the year. I usually wait till New Years Day. Well I got then down, even the outside decorations and have everything organized and marked in their red boxes. So very happy!
So now I say BRING IT 2011! I am ready for one of the best years of our lives!!!! Hugs and best wishes to all of you for 2011. Bobbi Jo

Good- Bye and HELLO
Good bye to 2010. It was a year of learning, stretching myself beyond what I thought I could and accomplishing things that I set out to do. There have been many trial in this year but all worth it and I can say I have learned and made it through. Tougher, stronger and more confident in myself.
As the new year begins today we will open our time capsal that we made 10 years ago as a family and make a new one. We all put in something that was special to us. This will be fun to see.
So now good -bye to 2010 and HELLO to 2011!!
Today we start out with a positive 1-1-11. Hugs, Bobbi Jo

A Blur
I must admit these last few weeks have become a blur to me. Time seems to be spending out of control. Yes my control. I am not one who likes to let go of control.
Started working at Serenity Massage & Tan and the job was going really well then the owners called me and said they were going to be closing down.WHAT? I was just getting the hang of working again. So I finished up working there. Now what? I was going to do stricktly out call, that is I would go to peoples houses and give massages. But about 2 Sat. ago I thought well if I could make a little room in our den if someone didn't want me to come to their house I could give massages here. So I told Alan my little thought. He said why couldn't I just turn the room into a massage room and concentrate on making my business at home with a little out call? Why not!!!
Then I received a very generous offer to go to work with a chiropractor & two others. No cost for space or linens. This is something I wanted to do since I did Structural and Functional Assessment. Since mid way through the personal program at school I thought I wanted to get into Nueromuscular Therapy so this would be a great experience and opportunity to work with a wonderful Dr. So I had to pray on it, talk with Alan, talk with others for their input and pray some more. Coming up with the decision after not being able to sleep and thinking of all the possibilities that now is just not the time for it in my life. With Gabby being home schooled , doctors visits and other things in our lives it just wouldn't be possible without a major strain on the family. So I had to decline. One of those things that you hope you did the right thing.
We talked then things started to fall together with ideas and ways to make it work. After all I did already get my business name "Majestic Massage Therapy" why not???? So I got my permit to run a business from my home. Now we are in the process of getting the room ready. I will be able to be home with Gabby, take her to appointments and take care of the other things that need done.
My plan is by the beginning of the year to have my Facebook page & my web page up and running with pictures and all that I offer to my clients.
I am excited and sometimes a little unsure but life is good and 2011 is going to be one of the best years of our lives!! Hugs, Bobbi Jo
