Billy Blanks Tried to Kill ME!!

I got done doing the Ultimate Boot Camp and I swear Billy Blanks tried to kill me. There was a couple of times I yelled out HOLY CRAP!! I felt the burn.
It felt good and it is the first time I have felt my abs being in action. It was mostly in the punch cross overs with the waist in place that made the difference. So if there is anyone out there who knows of other DVDs that have this in them I would love to know. With all this being said tomorrow morning I might need help getting dressed and going potty but it felt good to work out. I got sweaty and everything! EWW!! I didn't do the jumping jacks because I didn't want to get a concussion from my boobs hitting me. I also didn't do all the ab work on the floor but I did what I could. Baby steps right? Right!
Off to get dinner ready we are having homemade Broccoli Soup, crusty bread and fruit.
Have a great night. Hugs, Bobbi Jo

Deco, Glasses, FHE & Ice-Cream

This evening when Alan got home from checking some things on Coco & Kyles house he made a Wal-Mart run for me. While he was gone I decorated my chandelier over out dining table. It was hard to get a good picture but I think it looks pretty. I also took this tea pot from this:
to this: . I still need to add some Christmas cheer to it but it stands out on this wall above my pantry now.
Alan took Gabby to get her new glasses. I think she looks a little bit like Sami in this picture when she was younger. Sami is my niece who is a nut, a nut who I love and enjoy very much! Gabby just looks so cute!
She was really excited to have them.
Then after dinner of Chimis & Taco's, Faith and Gabby had the Family Home Evening lesson all ready to teach. They did a puppet show for us. This is the chair (that is not yet painted or cushions reupholstered ) but, used as their stage for the play.

During and after.
My sweet dear supportive hubby (NOT) on my eating better brought home pumpkin, peppermint and Bunny Tracks ice-cream for our treat. I just had a little of each. Not so great of me but, way to tempting even for me who isn't much of an ice-cream eater. The peppermint is so pretty! Love the color.

So now it is time to get ready for bed and say good night to you all. Have a great night and chat with you tomorrow. Hugs, Bobbi Jo

Weekend Catch Up & Monday

DH and I stayed up way to late on Saturday night. He got home from taking the girls out and we talked and watched TV for a while and decided it was time for bed. I woke up at my usual time in the morning and came down stairs read the newspaper, got on the computer and started to not feel so well. So since everyone was still in bed, Remember Coco, Kyle and Talmage were still up north. I decided to go back to be for a while. Then what seemed like just a little while there was a knock on our door and it was Dallas needing some medicine but we looked at the clock it was 9:45. BOY when I sleep in I really sleep in. I am not a night owl anymore. We went to church and were spiritually filled. I love singing the Christmas songs other than I lost my hearing again in my right ear so my voice was what I felt way off so I lip sang the words. In RS they continued with the lesson from last week and it was a very good lesson. Much crying and bearing of testimonies. We came home from church and Coco, Kyle and Talmage had decided to come home early because they missed us! NOT REALLY!! Talmage was having a hard time breathing in the altitude with his stuffy nose so they came home.
On Sunday evening there was First Presidency Christmas Devotional. It was so beautiful. I love the music, with the orchestra playing. The harp was my favorite to watch. What talent these people have. The voices of the MTC were that of what I think angles would sound like. They had up by the podium decorated to look like they were sitting by a fireplace in comfy red chairs and 2 huge, gorgeous trees decorated behind them. Then there were poinsettias all over and lights on trees. I am always in awe over the beauty of the building when it is decorated for Christmas. The talks were so wonderful and touching. I was in tears as President Monson talked about being at a nursing home and visiting. If you missed it I am so sorry, It was great. It truely brought the true meaning of Christmas and Christ's birth of his humble beginnings and that we need to be humble in our lives. WOW! I think even those not of my faith would have enjoyed the messages.
Last night went as most nights go. Busy getting things ready for Monday. Today I have putted around the house after the girls left for school. Alan and I worked on a couple of projects then Coco and I went to Michael's . They are having some fantastic sales on stocking stuffers and most of the Christmas items are on sale too.
When we got home Alan and Kyle had been working on getting the backyard cleaned up and we got this set up. I did a little bit but this puppy is heavy so I am really not much help.

Alan and Kyle did most of the work getting this in place I am a great boss. he he This is my 12 Ft. tree and it has a 7 Ft. base, I love this tree. I am not sure what I am decorating it in this year I have to look and see what I have available. So I have a l0t of work to do and dinner to make, FHE to have and other things to finish up so I better get off the computer and get to work. Have a great evening. Hugs, Bobbi Jo

Christmas Party for Middle Aged Mommies

I struggled all this week if I was going to go to the Middle Aged Mommies Christmas Party . This in turn gave me a stomach ache that led to bad side effects. I finally decided I would go. I made this ornament for the exchange. It was like the White Elephant but with ornaments. I had picked out two different ones and they got taken from me. So then I got him And this sweet little piece of Santa material to have fun with. Thank you Wendy!
So the party was fun. I was still a little nervous when I got there I don't know very many of these ladies well and I am not the best with small talk. But everyone was so nice and I got to get to know a new lady in our ward that I have been reading her blog and she is so sweet, beautiful and down to earth. I love that in a beautiful person! Janel I think you are a doll. Anyway the food was good, the wassail was good and very yummy hot chocolate! My fav!! I didn't take a bunch of pictures, I didn't want people to get that "Get out of my face" look . But here are a few to share. I am terrible at names and not that it matters to most of you who will read this but just to let you know I am bad at names so some ladies or girls will not be on here.

This is Janel on the left. She could be a new BFF unless I annoy the heck out of her. JK!! Isn't she pretty she has a beautiful smile. I can't remember the other ladies name, she was very nice. I am so bad at names I think it is my mind is so full of everything. That is my excuse and I am sticken to it!

This is Jody and she has the greatest laugh. One of those laughs that makes you just want to laugh too. The camera shy gal is Aimee. She was the main photographer and a great gal.
I just realized that the hostess got out of the pictures. I know there was a bunch taken and I hope I get those emailed to me Shelly that would be swell! I would owe you big time. I am glad I went and had a chance to meet this nice ladies, even if I am the old fart of the crowd. Does that officially make me QUEEN?
It is 10:25 and Alan is still out with the girls. I am going to go up and maybe read, watch TV or doze till they get home. Hope you all had a great Saturday, mine turned out very good.
Coco, Kyle and Talmage I miss you three it is quiet with out you here. Strange!
Hugs, Bobbi Jo

Saturday

Coco, Kyle and Talmage left to go to Pinetop last night and made it by around 9ish. It is strange not having them here. Dallas had a date, E'lyse went to the winter dance at the JR. High and the little girls had movie night down stairs. DH and I ended up having a date night since there was very little people home. So I made the girls dinner and they got to watch Skrek the Halls and eat dinner in the great room. Bit treat I don't know why. Hubby and I had a date in our room.
Woke up this morning at 6:00 I got to sleep in. Having a bit of tummy trouble so I am not sure how much will get done today. I am suppose to go to a Middle Aged Mommies Christmas Party. Should I be offended? I guess not most of the other ladies are WAY younger than me. Anyway I am hoping I am feeling much better to go to the party. I got my ornament for the ornament exchange made. I will share a picture later just in case anyone who was invited to the party happens to check my blog.
At the girls school this morning they had breakfast with Dad and Santa so Alan took Faith and Gabby to it It turns out they just had doughnuts to buy so while they had 30 minutes for Santa to show they went to get breakfast then went back. Alan said it was a little lame but good to spend time with the girls . There was face painting so I took pictures to share:
Faith has a wreath and a candy cane on her face.
Gabby looks like she got punched. It doesn't help that she stretched out her neck the way she did. She is such a dork sometimes. It is actually a Santa painted on her eye and cheek . They also got their pictures taken with Santa but that will come a little later.
I am suppose to take a dessert too. I have a problem though. Hubby decided to work on the dishwasher that hasn't been draining properly so the kitchen is a mess and I can't cook in there so I am not sure what I will end up making. I hope you are all having a great Saturday.
Tonight Alan is taking the 3 girls out to a movie and get some much needed church shoes and a dress or two. I will check in later or tomorrow. Hugs, Bobbi Jo

House lights

This is our house! These 2 windows is what I look out of in my craft room. I still have a wreath for each window to put up. Can I just leave the lights up all year? Hubby won't do the upper section due to the tiles they have on our roof. They crack easily. Now that I get a better look, it is kind of naked up there! EEK!!
Hmm might have to do something about that. Not sure what. Hugs, Bobbi Jo

Thursday Was Busy

Boy was Thursday a non stop busy day. I have wanted to get the Christmas lights up for a little over a week now and something keeps coming up. But before the lights could be put up the trees and bushes in the front of our house needed trimmed also the flowers in the very front needed to be pulled out. They have not been done since last spring. So I decided after the kiddos were off to school that I would take care of the bushes and start with what I could with the lights. It ended up that between the trimming, pulling, pruning and clean up it took me most of the morning into the lunch hour. But I am so happy with they way it turned out. 3 of the bushes are Rosemary, so as you walk up to our door you can smell it. It reminds me of Focaccia Bread. After I was done with that Alan got home and we decided to get the Christmas lights up. We got them done and I think they look good I still have 2 wreaths to decorate for in my front craft room windows and something on the coach lights in the front of the garage. I will need to get pictures tonight of the lights.
I got the humanitarian bags done in between Alan needing to take care of other things. This is the picture of them I got 17 made.

When we got done with the lights Alan said lets go see what we can do about the light for the cabinets in the kitchen. Long story trying to shorten it. When we were having this house built we had an extra outlet put in above the microwave and a switch put over with the other light switches just for lights above and below the cabinets. We worked for a while on getting the lights in. This is sweet hubby working. It was almost time for me to go get Gabby & her friend from school. So I changed my clothes and went to pick up Gabby. Gabby had an appointment with the eye doctor so we went to that. Gabby needed glasses she is near sighted so we picked out frames and a case. She is so excited about them, we will see how long this lasts.
We got home and still needed to finish the lights but it was Elyse's last game at home and we wanted to see her cheer. So Alan and I decided to go to the game. I remembered my camera so I got a few pictures.
Elyse is the second in left side.
E'lyse and Aston "Cheerleading Team Buddies".
E'lyse, 2 friends and Ashton after the game. Our team lost.
After the game we came home and worked on the lights. Then 2 of my friends one being the wife of my hubbies cousin were having a opening of their Boutique. It is called Blue Bird Boutique they will have a Etsey shop opeing soon. They make and sell beautiful aprons that have a vintage look to them. There was one that looked like material from a beautiful gown. It was a dryclean only and so GORGEOUS! I should have taken pictures but I didn't . There were also other vendors there one selling candles, purses, custome painted frames and baked goods. It was fun! We (Coco went with me) stayed about 20 min. We got home and had pizza for dinner at almost 7:45. Durring this time Kyle has a friend that came over to build a computer for them. So the house was nuts. Finally after getting dinner cleaned up it was time to get kiddos to bed, and have some peaceful time hanging out with hubby. I felt good about all that was done.
I am not sure what all I will get done today. So I will check in later. Hugs, Bobbi Jo

Wednesday

Did you miss me today? I was really upset I couldn't get my computer to work. All day I kept trying the silly thing that helps diagnose what is wrong on the computer and it said it wasn't hooked up. Sheesh! It was I had lights blinking on the router and the modem but nothing was working to let me on to check on my bloggy friends. Well this evening way after dinner sweet hubby calls up nephew geek and he has him go through and check different things. Silly ME! When I unhooked everything and hooked it back up I got my wires crossed. He He
Last night my show Real Housewives of the OC was on at 11. So I watched it. If you watch this show who is your favorite housewife? Just curious. I thought would be wiped out this morning but I did good. I got the house cleaned, deep vacuuming and some organizing done, 2 errands and made almost all the humanitarian bags. I was short of finishing when I had only 3 left and I ran out of chord for the ties. Off to Joanne's in the morning. Coco wants to go pick out material for reupholstering her dining room chairs anyway. So I can finish them. I also started and almost finished one of my Christmas Aprons, it's nothing fancy but cute. So now it is time to spend some time with my honey before we go to bed. I will have to catch up with all of my great blogging friends tomorrow. I missed you all. So glad to be back on line.

Tuesday-Almost sufficated & Today Projects

Hello! Well yesterday wasn't as productive as I would like it to be. I started off the morning with the usual finishing up lunches and getting kiddos off to school. I decided to start working out (serious work out). I am so out of shape, it is not funny! Of any of you who know me I had pancreatitis right after Gabby was born so I had to have emergency surgery to save my life. Then 2 years ago I had hernia surgery. I would stand up and the doctor said my guts would fall out of the space that was there, it was really nasty . I have a 16 inch vertical scar right down the middle of me and absolutely NO stomach muscles to be found. I searched for them yesterday.I am doing these crunches that use to be a piece of cake (that is part of the reason I have to exercise anyway, stupid cake). Then reverse curls HA HA HA I was laughing so hard trying to get my toosh in the air with my legs stretched up to the cieling. To no avail this did not happen. I am trying Jillian Michaels work out (Lady trainer from the Biggest Loser). I am so wimpy when I was doing my jumping jacks in warm up I thought my boobs were going to knock me in the face and throw me backwards. EEEK! It was a terrible fear as I was doing these. I have come to the conclusion that even though this lady has had 400 pound people doing this same exact workout it was under close supervision so they would not strangle themselves with their rools on their bodies. I am not giving up though. I will exercise but I am going to try the different exercise DVD's that I have to find what will work for me for cardio now and stick with the weight lifting. I eventually want to run long distance again.
I normally would not share so much information, who am I kidding I am an open book. I have gained almost 25lbs. since I moved back to the valley. I am not sure why it could be the food, stress and I don't spend the amount of time being active outdoors like I did up in the white mountains . There was a lady at church Sunday(that just had a baby 4 months ago) that had the most beautiful arms I wanted them not the wings that have sprouted recently. So wish me luck !
Today is up in the air of what I will be able to get done. I am making some bags for holding childrens blocks for a Humanitarian Project in our ward. I need to cut those out and sew them up there is only 17 so I don't think they will take that long. I really want to work on Christmas things so maybe there will be time for that along with todays home tasks and working with Alan on some projects.
So there is my day till 2:30 in a nutshell then the kiddos need picked up, dinner made and evening activities. Have a great day. Hugs, Bobbi Jo

Monday

As I am sitting here stalking blogs (not much of a stalker I always comment) I noticed that my Christmas Counter is off. What is up with that. Hmmm how to fix it. COCO....... I will do that later. Sunday was a good day. We started a new time at church 12 instead of 2. Wish it was like 9 but this will have to do. I miss my Sunday naps with hubby. Church was very uplifting. I enjoyed the speakers in Sacrament and I was able to follow the lesson in Sunday school. I think in RS I talked way too much but still enjoyed the lesson. It was on creating. I love to create things. I enjoy being crafty and making things beautiful or making a yummy smelling & tasting food, dinner or sweets. This lesson made me think of what I want to focus on for this coming 2009. I am not sure right now I have so many ideas floating around in the space of my head that it is sometimes overwhelming. So I would love comments on thing that others are wanting to achieve in the coming year. I don't think I am going to call them New Years Resolutions but goals. I know it is important for us to make goals and achieve them.
Last night we had tithing settlement with our sweet Bishop Kempton. He is such an awesome man who when he speaks it is truely from the heart of what he is feeling.
Then I made the mistake of letting Faith and Gabby stay up to watch Tinker Bell till 10:30. Faith was really tired this morning, Gabby was pretty good but that girl is a ball of unending energy. I hope they are able to stay awake in school today.
So I hope everyone had a good weekend and are ready to have a good week. I have cleaning and preparing to get all my Christmas goodies up today along with the usual tasks of the day. Have a great Monday. Hugs, Bobbi Jo
