Whatcha Working on Wednesday

It is that time again for Leslies Whatcha Working on Wednesday! Since the start of this week wasn't the best I have a lot on my list today. I am starting out with cleaning up my craft room. It is really bad!
Oh my scary!! Coco and I have been working on the mess on the table in the middle of the room.
This weekend the guys moved the rest of the food storage in the room and now I have to get them strapped to the wall (long story). This sounds very unattractive and you are right it is. I will eventually have a wall that will cover them up and painted and of course decorated. Anyway, after this I need to make some napkins for the girls lunches. They are taking spare napkins from my dinner ones and they are the big ones. I also plan on doing at least 2 scrap-book pages, painting some wood items I have cut out for fall. I have some wash and house work to do in between so I should keep busy from this. I will post pictures a little later. Have a great day! Hugs, Bobbi Jo

Pretty Things

Tonight as I was out in the blogasphire I found a lovely blog it is written by KJ the blog is called eye-dyllic. Beautiful pictures and information. There is a bit about tea and tea time. I am the only one in our family that drinks tea. KJ asked that we send her a picture of our Perpetual Tea Trays. I have a few trays and many china pieces that I love to use. In the evenings this Herbal Tea- Chamomile w/ a touch of Lemon is very soothing. The picture is the tray I painted a couple of weeks ago. I wanted to show you the pretty saucer. I love flowers so this is one of my favorite ones.
The next pretty was given to me by Coco. She made it for me. I was so pleased to have this after seeing all the beauties she has made for our upcoming etsy shop. It is one of my favorite color combinations of Hot Pink and Black. It will be my Ladies Journal. I think it is so pretty! The Flowers were brought home for me last night from Alan after I told him I had to get a shot in my hiney so I needed flowers and chocolate. So I got the flowers and some wonderful 60% cocoa chocolate. I was just kidding but he got them for me anyway. He is a sweetheart.
My finger is doing better tonight after the herbal medicine Coco put on it today. It has already healed up the cut in part. Wow! Good stuff.
So off to bed I need to go. 4:15 comes awful quick and I hope to be productive tomorrow. Sweet dreams, Bobbi Jo

It Had To Be Cut Off! Get Out Your Violins

First of all I will apologize for my boo-hooing here. I just needed to get this off my chest. I know I will feel better once this is done. So please, bare with me.
Yesterday afternoon my hands had swollen even more than when the doctor saw it, not just my hands but everywhere was swollen. The doctor told me to try and get my wedding ring off soon as possible. Little did I know what was to happen. The doctor also said my blood pressure was high but didn't say much more about it so I check what it was and it was 160 over 125, I think this is my next concern.
The doctor gave a prescription for some ointment to stop itching and to help heal where my finger was badly infected also some antibiotics for my ears .
Alan got home and took a look at it and said that I could loose my finger if I didn't get it off. So I go into panic mode. I took some of my blood pressure pills (herbal) and start drinking water, laying with feet up, soaking finger in ice water and all that good stuff. Trying to get the ring off. Nothing! Still in a haze of the Child's Benadryl doze I made dinner and the girls did the dishes. I watched Jon & Kate Plus 8 then went to bed. I wake up this morning and finger is worse. It is now throbbing and I didn't sleep very well last night.

I decided to get the ring off myself again. Due to my vanity I didn't want to go to the jewelers and have them see my bad skin. I soaked my finger and got my floral wire snips and tried to cut. I made some what of a dent after about 20 min. off and on soaking and trying to cut. I couldn't do it. So I take my little bucket of water & ice and my snips and ask Kyle if he can help me. I show him the ridge and he pressed as hard as he could and it finally cut through. Now the problem was I couldn't get the ring off. The ring had cut into my finger about 2 centimeters and it hurt like crazy. So Kyle and Coco got pliers and tweezers and pulled it apart. It didn't want to come off and kept rubbing in the part of the finger that had the wound. So I finally grabbed the front of the ring and held on, Kyle got the snips and cut off a section and then pulled with the pliers and got it off. Sniff Sniff my beautiful wedding ring. I feel so bad that it had to come to this! There was nothing to do it had to be cut off. So here is the pictures of my not so glamorous hand even though Coco added the leopard stripe, after Kyle & Coco played Doctor and Nurse taking care of me. My hero's!And the other picture is my poor wedding rings. On the bright side my finger is no longer throbbing and I think the swelling might be coming down on it.
Does this get me out of doing the dishes for a day or two? I don't think so!
I am Still trying to get the rest of the swelling out of my body and figure out what started this thing in the first place. Any nurses have ideas let me know because I am lost. Have a fun Tuesday. Hugs, Bobbi Jo

Surprise, Sunday, Monday and the lazy Dog Days

I am in working on the computer and my husbands cousins son who is also one of my sons best friends came over to pick him up and him mom had sent this over for our family. It looks so yummy! It is Texas Sheet Cake w/ chocolate icing. What a yummy surprise! Thank you Tammy!! Big Hugs to you for making my day.
On Sunday we woke up and had our usual Sunday breakfast of bacon, eggs and toast. I went up stairs to get dressed and next thing I know I have red splotches all over my face. Then my arms starting itching. I felt like I was running a fever just in my face though. It was really weird. So I decided to take a Benadryl (child dose or else I would be out for 2 days). It wasn't working very fast. Alan and I were working on something in the den (aka my craft room) and I was getting worse and very groggy. So we finished up and I went to bed. Slept for a few hours and got up not doing much better. Everyone went to church but me and my red spots. I went back to sleep. The family got home, ate dinner and we watched the Olympics for a while then off to bed again.
This morning I wake up at the usual 4:15 and spots are worse. So I decided to go to the care clinic. They said I have ear infections in both ears but don't know why I have red spots. I also got a shot in my hiney to relieve the itch. It worked for a while and made me very sleepy. So today was not productive at all.
Since Coco, Kyle and Talmage moved in with us we have 4 dogs in the house most of the time due to even at 5 pm it is 107 degrees outside. So I was walking through the house and found it funny that they were all being very lazy.
The first dog is Lula (Coco's dog) the next two are Cosmo(Coco's dog) and Belle (E'lyses dog) and the last one glaring at the camera is Nellie ( my dog). She isn't found of having her picture taken, she gets that from me. So these are the last of some of the lazy dog days of summer! he he
Have a great Monday night. Hoping to have a more productive day tomorrow minus the itching and spots. Hugs, Bobbi Jo

I love PiNk! It is PiNk Saturday

Today is Pink Saturday that Beverly has made famous in her own beautiful way. Be sure to check out her great blog Howsweetthesound , she has a list of wonderful ladies joining in on the fun, and you are welcome to join in every Saturday if you would like, just let her know. She has put alot of work and organization into this and it has become very popular!
If you ask any member of my family they know and connect me with Pink! Not just pink but crowns, Harley's, chocolate and bling. I think in a lot of ways I am very girly because I love anything feminine. I enjoy being treated like a lady. You are probably asking why I am telling you this? Well it is due to BJ ,at her blog Sweet Nothings is giving away a very cute pink fleece throw with big white polka dots! Who can resist that? Love it! I have entered to win it and she said to claim your love for pink so here I am. So I wanted to share a cute little thing that I made on Thursday. It is one of my favorite hues, HOT PINK. So here it is
I have been working on items for the upcoming etsy shop Coco. I was working on projects and felt like making something on a whim and this is what I came up with.
Tomorrow is Sunday and we will be going to church and having FHE after that. Hope you are all having a fun Saturday night. Hugs, Bobbi Jo

Watcha Working on Wednesday

It's time again for Whatcha Working on Wednesday with Leslie at My Country Home has a place you can sign on to show everyone what you are doing. It is great way to get motivated to get things done. Today I am working on these: This the before and then I added one more item to this. This is the after:This is the Thinkin Spot. Then there is this,

This is called Beach Bungalo. Then this one :It is called Dream House. My dream house would be yellow, country style with white trim, grey roof and a wrap around porch. So after I got these done I still wanted to paint some more. So I did this: This is a tray I had for a while. I painted it pink and did a cream crackle on it. I stamped the middle design with a stamp from Heidi Swap and hand painted the rest.

This is a machae box I painted yesterday. I did a brown paint with a cream crackle and painted the leaves. The inside is painted a autumn brown.

This next picture is something that I thought was too cute. I bought this harvest basket on sale for $10! DeAl!! Love this picture of Talmage.

So this is what I did along with my household blessings and a couple errands so I had fun today. Hugs, Bobbi Jo

It's Already Tuesday! Holy Cow

I can't believe it is already Tuesday! It was early Saturday morning that I last blogged so I thought maybe I should catch up this morning.
On Saturday morning I made breakfast and told Coco before we started any crafting I needed to straighten up my craft room that use to be the den but DH handed it over to me. I think he was getting smothered by all the girly stuff in there. So after breakfast I came in and blogged and then started to clean up. Well for the rest of the day and into the evening we cleaned my den. Organizing and putting things in their sweet little crafting space. It looks really good now and will be nice and efficient way to create. Now I have to get my window treatments made! Thank you Coco for all your help! I was a little panicky due to the OCD I have. Coco said I need therapy because I like too many crafts and have too much stuff. I don't know about that.

This is before we left. Talmage was smiling until he saw the camera. I had a good time at church. Being it was fast Sunday we had fast and testimony meeting. The kids were awesome. There was one after another going up and bearing their testimonies. I think there was only 4 adults that spoke but there wasn't a lull in the meeting at all. You know what a mean the very quiet and uncomfortableness. It was great! We came home from church and had a BBQ but it was in doors due to the heat. Alan gave the girls their back to school blessing that night before bed.

Monday was the first day of school for the girls.

This is Gabby. She is in 3rd grade this year.
This is Faith. She is in 4Th grade.
This is E'lyse. She is in 7Th grade.
Dallas isn't cooperative in me getting his picture in the morning. Mornings are not his thing! The girls were excited to go back to school and see there friends. Unfortunately the 2 younger only have one or two in there classes. I told them this was a good opportunity to make new friends. E'lyse switches classes so she gets to see more of hers. They had a good 1st day and like their teachers very much.
So for today I am going to do my daily tasks and maybe get to some crafting. Coco and I are planning on starting an etsy shop soon so I need to get items made for that.
My menu for this week is:
Monday: Lasagna, garlic bread, green beans, cantaloupe and brownies for FHE.
Tuesday: Mexican slow cooker fiesta, rolls and pears.
Wednesday: Chicken casserole covered into crock-pot, tossed salad
Thursday: Hamburgers, seasoned rice, baked beans and corn.
Friday: English muffin pizza w/ pizza bar, salad and desert pizza.
Saturday: Tomato Soup, grilled cheese sandwiches, broccoli and sunshine salad.
Alright I need to go get breakfast made. Have a great day!
Hugs, Bobbi Jo

Friday Date Night

Last night we went on a double date with our Coco, Kyle and Talmage to Mimi's Cafe. It is a really good restaurant decorated in Country French decor. Yummy strawberry Lemonade! Such a fun place to look around and get decorating ideas. Our waitress was so nice made for an even better meal. After dinner we went to Sportsman's Warehouse. Alan needed to get reloading supplies for the bear hunt coming up. It is a neat store Coco and I walked around playing with Talmage. This is one of the many beautiful animals they have around the store. The bear was killed in Russia in 2001 by one of the employees. Look it is Davey Crockett! Just kidding it is little Talmage who got a second wind and was loving this store. He is too cute!
After this store we went for ice-cream at Cold Stone. Talmage really liked this place. He likes being the 5Th wheel.
We all had a good time and decided we need to do this at least once a month.
On Saturday's list of things to do is: clean up den, the everyday cleaning, prepare for Sunday, get girls all ready for school on Monday it is there first day back, crafting and having fun.
On a different note I wanted to let you know that the purses I bought from Meredith are such a well made purse. They are sewn beautifully and strong. I love mine!
Hope you all have a good day. Hugs, Bobbi Jo

Special Surprise, Party and Cuteness!

To start off I had ordered 2 purses off of my niece Meredith's etsy shop where she has some really cute purses. I kept commenting on her blog that her favorite aunt would like a pink & black one, JK of course. Anyway Modeling these beauties is Coco's DH Kyle. He does such a great job showing how happy they can make you and is a better model than some people I know who show there face and enthusiasm. (JK! SH) One was for me (pink & white) and the other(green stripes w/flowers) for Coco for one of her Birthday gifts. So yesterday afternoon I had DS go get the mail and they had arrived. Much to my surprise was this beauty.
Meredith had made me a scripture bag. On the tag that turned out blurry when I took the picture says "A scripture case for my very favorite aunt! Love, Meredith." Sniff sniff this made me cry I couldn't' believe how sweet she is! I love the bag and it means so much to me.
We had dinner made by request of the Birthday girl of chicken pockets, spinach, green salad w/avocados. Then we had Birthday cake, this was the Hershey perfectly chocolate-chocolate cake (with my special added ingredients) and peanut butter frosting colored Coco's favorite color orange. This is Coco and Talmage blowing out the candles. I cut the cake then Coco opened her presents. As she was she gave Talmage a piece of his own little cake this is the before and the after. I think he liked it! Okay one more picture of Cuteness! Talmage in a dew rag. I am looking forward to this weekend. Tonight we are going on a double date with Coco & Kyle. Saturday I hope to sleep past 5 am if I am lucky but my body clock is adjusting to 4:15 so we will see. Have a great Friday and don't forget date night with your sweetie!
Hugs, Bobbi Jo
