Happy Halloween And Happy Pink Saturday

Happy Halloween to everyone!

My New Do

Growing up from the age of 13 till 21 I did hair shows. This means I had a new hair style or color sometimes both about every month. I get bored of my hair one way too long.
So today my friend Amy did her magic to my hair. I love it! It is business in the front and

Party in the back
Now for highlights in the front.
If I look tired it is due to having to pick up son late last night as a fairy and getting up early this morning. My day was busy running all over the place but got a lot done. Sleep will come later tonight. going to the Trunk or Treat at our church. I made corn bread and Gooey Pumpkin Cake to go with the chili cook off before.
This is my little fairy "Twinkles" (E'lyse) as she got home from school today. Now my fairy name is "Sparkles".
Miss. Twinkles
Have a fun Friday night! Hugs, Bobbi Jo

Why Me?

The day was spent finishing up my daughter, E'lyses (13yrs. old) Halloween costume she decided she wanted to change it 2 days before the big day. So we shopped and had a lot of fun. She decided on a purple fairy. While shopping I spotted some pink fairy wings and of course couldn't pass them up for myself. So last night I had to pick up my son from his girlfriends house after they had gone to a wedding. Being that I don't like driving that far away from the house at night by myself I asked if E'lyse wanted to go with me. She said yes then said we should dress as fairies to get him. Me liking to dress up and wanting to wear my pink wig and wings I said, 'Sure!" So we get ready and head over. It is now about 10:30 I am driving to get there and passed the main road I was to turn on so I flip a u and get back to the road and turn right. All of the sudden red and blue lights flashing behind me! EEEKKK!! What is it about these lights that scare the tar out of me? So I pull over in the first parking lot. The cop walks up the van door, shines his light in my face that has sparkles, makeup and me in my pink hair and wings and says,"Well I have never stopped anyone with pink hair before." He takes my license and heads to his car to check it out. My daughter is laughing so hard saying," This is so cool. You getting stopped by a cop dressed as a fairy. Wait till I tell my friends!" So he left me with a note of how to turn a right corner and stay in the close lane and a good evening. Thank you Mr. Police man for not giving me a ticket. I appreciate it!
So this is my life. Why me? Why not I say. I love life and will continue to get caught being a dork throughout it. So what can we do but smile and enjoy! Have a great Friday! Hugs, Bobbi Jo

I Signed My Life Away

I signed my life away earlier today. I am going back to school starting January4Th, 2010 . It has been so long since I have been in school or even had a regular place to be outside of the home . I will going to Arizona School of Massage Therapy. Therefor along about the 5th week of school I will need volunteers to give massages to every evening as my homework. I am excited yet scared. It will be a major change of what I have been use to the past 19 1/2 years of being a stay at home mommy. I love being a SHAM but I feel it is time for me to get some education under my belt again. This has been a tough decision for over the past 4 years or so. I hope I will have everyone's support especially my family. Hugs, Bobbi Jo

NEWS

I was informed by my sweet daughter Coco yesterday that she will be bringing in to this beautiful world a princess. Here is Miss Naimi Fays 1st photo shoot.
Coco was really not wanting to find out if it was a boy or girl so she left it up to her hubby. So they found out. She had text me that they found out but wasn't going to tell me till all the kiddos were home from school. Well I am not a patient lady so I had to call and find out. After much pleading and begging she told me.
We are all excited about this of course we would have been just as excited to have another bouncing baby prince. Talmage will be a wonderful big brother. I am excited for our family to have another sweet spirit to join our family. Just another great child to love and enjoy.
I hope everyone is have a great day. Mine is great so far! Hugs, Bobbi Jo

I Have Been Busy

I have been busy working on some projects, house cleaning and redecorating by using items that have been in boxes in the garage or other rooms and using them in different ways. I have the decorating/refinishing bug. OH NO!!! What will I work on first? I think it will be convincing my hubby that it is time for a change. he he
All is well in our house. I will post some pictures later of some of the things I have been doing.

Back To Blog Land

I have been missing in action for a few days. Coco, Baby Peanut, Kyle and Talmage came in on Thursday night and I was trying to spend as much time as possible with them. I have missed them so much.
Coco and I went shopping on Friday. I had so much fun hanging out with her. Friday night Coco, Kyle, Alan and I went to a Wedding Reception for some friends of ours children who got sealed in the Mesa Temple after 5 years of dating. We are so happy for you Kristen & Conrad Jensen. It was a beautiful reception held outside. I got to see a sweet and beautiful friend who desperately needs to update her blog (Melissa S.) and some other dear friends I haven't seen in a while.
After sleeping in till 5:30 on Saturday morning Coco, E'lyse and I headed out to Hobby Lobby. Yes my arm had to be twisted just enough to turn the key in the ignition. he he We also visited a little clothing boutique for children. Coco has been going back and forth whether or not to get Talmage a Halloween costume and she found this little darling one for him of one of his favorite characters Elmo
On Saturday night there was a Nichols Family doughnut/ hot chocolate party at Grandmas house. There was a bouncy house and a lot of people to talk to. Sad to say some I don't even know what child goes to what parent there are so many. Alan stayed home he wasn't feeling good so I took, Coco, Baby Peanut, Kyle, E'lyse, Faith and Gabby over. Dallas and his girlfriend Sara met us over there. I enjoyed talking to everyone. All of the beautiful Nieces that talked with me, brother in loves and sister in loves that I adore. There were a few I didn't get a chance to talk to like Kortnei & Josh , sorry about that. The family is so big that there really needs to be name tags so I know who is who! But had a fun time.
We got home and stayed up too late again. I ended up sleeping in big time till a little after 7. WOW! What was I on vacation? Heck no just being lazy. Coco and her sweet family left right before we had to leave for church. I hated to see them go. I especially my little buddy Talmage. He has the best hugs and his giggle just melts my heart.

Had a good day on Sunday. Visited with Coco's family before they left. We went to church and enjoyed the talks that were given. Hubby was given a new church calling as Nursery Worker. They said his name came up and his calm nature was a sure in for the calling.
Alan and I had a date night in our room. Had dinner and watched the Proposal again. Cute movie!
Now it is Monday again and work is almost completed for this morning. Tonight we are having BBQ boneless country style ribs for dinner with cauliflower, beans and rolls. I have so many things I want to do this week so I better get off the computer and get to work. Have a wonderful day and stay happy!

Temple Fast

Temple Fast on October 21st...Tell Everyone-Share!

Recently there has been a lot of opposition over the building of the new Phoenix, Arizona Temple. As the 1st assistant of my Priest Quorum, I was asked by my Bishop and my Quorum Advisor (Dad) to tell you all about something that our Youth Council and I would like to do about this.

Next Wednesday October 21st 2009, I want as many members of the church as possible, ESPECIALLY YOUTH, to fast with a prayer in our hearts for the progress of the temple construction and for the hearts of those who oppose it to be softened. I know that if we all unite in faith on this day we will see a great miracle as the Lord blesses us. The following is how this will work....

On Tuesday, (the 20th) everyone go into your room or a quiet, peaceful place at 7:00 p.m. At that time know that tens, hundreds, maybe even thousands of people, will be doing the same thing. Continue to fast for 24 hours from that point. OUR ward plans on holding a Fast and Feast activity on wednesday night for mutual. We will have a fireside/testimony meeting followed by us breaking our fast together with some delicious food! If you like this idea and your ward would like to hold there own fast and feast activity...I think it would be awesome! The more people that participate in this the better!

This doesn't need to be strictly members of the church either, Invite your friends to participate! It could be a great missionary opportunity!

Lastly, If you read this, please post it on your page! Send it to everyone you know! Help me spread the word! We need to let everyone know and we only have a short amount of time! I need your help! SO SEND, SEND, SEND!

I KNOW that if we do this, we will see results! I love this gospel! Christ is my Redeemer and it is our job to ensure that his work fills the earth. Happy Fasting! I wish all of you luck, and I expect all of you to ask me how my fast is going on Wednesday.

Thank You So Much!

-Trevor Nally
Servant of the Lord
(P.S. If i included you in the note it's because I really need you to help me spread this around to everyone)

Halloween Decorating And My Quick Craft

I decorated my house almost 2 weeks ago for Halloween. I like Halloween but not the yucky or scary things. I am way to chicken for things like that, plus I want the house to be full of uplifting pretty things. I wanted to share some pictures.
This is in our entry way
The All Hallows Eve banner I made last year
Hard to get a picture of it without the sun shining through.
The dining room light
Table in dining room area
The item you can't see in the front very well is a sign that says Halloween. It is sparkly with glitter. Bought it at Wal-Mart.
Area above kitchen cabinets
Saw this on Maratha's blog and thought they were so cute.
This sits in front of my sink on the island.
My teapot that hangs in the kitchen
This cat door hanger I bought a couple of years ago at Jo-Ann's. The vintage or vintage remakes are my favorite types of Halloween decorations .
I had in my plans to make a Halloween tree to decorate but no branches to be found yet. Still looking! There is much more throughout the house and the front of the house but I had so many already.
I emptied my box of Truvia last week. By the way I love this sugar it doesn't give me a stomach ache like Stevia or Sweet-n-low. Anyway I was looking at it thinking that it is such a great box. I thought to myself what could I do with it? So today I had the erg to do a craft so I covered the Truvia box.
I used glue sticks and glue dots to put the paper on.
As the progress continues
Inside after it is covered
And the top of it I think it turned out cute.
It took care of the need to be crafty in a short period of time. Still working on ideas for Christmas and love what I am finding. If anyone wants to share some I would appreciate it.
Hope everyone is having a great Wednesday. Mine has been good so far. Hugs, Bobbi Jo

FHE And Hunting

Last night I believe was a successful Family Home Evening. I taught a lesson that I found here at Sugardoodle. The lesson was on Family Responsibility. Everyone seemed receptive to helping out and doing their part as a family. I had made up one big chore chart but have decided to make individual ones that the children can look at for their daily chores. I am thinking this will be more effective.
Warning: For those who are Peta supporters you might want to skip this next part.
On Saturday my Hubby and our son, Dallas went hunting. Dallas has a Javelina tag. So they went out did some varmint calling and hubby called in a fox. So son shot it he has been wanting to tan a hide so this is his opportunity. It's his first fox and he is pretty happy about it as you can see.

I have gotten a good bit of my chores done this morning. Getting up at 4 with hubs we finished doing the budget, I packed his lunch and got him off to work, got 3 loads of wash done, bedroom straightened w/ bed made, got a soda and recycling taken to the school bins. I have a lot planned for today including some fun time with the kiddos & my workout. Hope you all have a great day! Be happy. Hugs, Bobbi Jo

Making My Home Sing And Menu Plan Monday

Good morning! Just got a phone call that made my day. My phone rang and I answered it. I hear rustling around with the phone then some numbers being pushes slowly . I knew it was my daughters phone (thanks to caller ID), but figured sweet little grandson, Talmage had got a hold of her phone. So I say Hello Talmage and then he carried on a little conversation of mumbles with me. Kid cracks me up!
Monday is one of my favorite days of the week. It is always a new start for things for me since I am a little OCD this just works out. Nan's hosts Making Your Home Sing Monday every week .
After being in bed most of yesterday with not sure what just feeling sore all over and hurting I got up and came down stairs and the house looks like I was gone for a week or so. EEEK!! Maybe a early Halloween trick I don't think so. It is called Mom has been in bed and 4 kiddos and hubby didn't do anything to pick up after themselves.
My plan for making my home sing is working on my Home Control Journal or what some call a Home Management Binder. I have mine in by my desk but I think it needs updated and brought to the attention of my family that it is to be used by all of us not just mom. This awakening brings to my attention I do a little too much for the family and the don't think of doing things for themselves when I am ill or gone. I don't want to sound harsh but the chore chart hasn't happened in this house for many, many months. So tonight for Family Home Evening we will have a lesson on responsibility and the chore chart will be presented and also the Home Control Journal will be introduced to them. All of course in a loving manner. Don't get me wrong I am not trying to play the martyr I just feel that the house should be kept picked up and taken care of even if I am not home.

My Menu Plan Monday for this week in no particular order is:
Chicken Enchiladas
Re fried beans
Salad
Fruit

Baked Penne Pasta
Green Bean Casserole
Italian Bread

Crustless Quiche w/bacon
Cantaloupe

Cheddar Chicken
Yellow Squash
Salad

Dinner out with the Family & Coco, Baby Peanut, Kyle and Talmage

Date night

Crock Pot Diet Coke Roast
Mash potatoes w/ gravy
Rolls

Happy PInk Saturday!

Happy Pink Saturday! Beverly at How Sweet The Sound is our hostess for Pink Saturday every week.
My first thing to share is a pumpkin I made last year with a mix of the colors I want my Harley, Pink and black of course.
The next pinks are scrap-book paper that I bought just in case I am correct about the gender of Coco's baby. She has the same symptoms as I did with my girls . I just couldn't pass up on the papers with the pink today.

This one I thought was just too cute!
And this The pinks didn't turn out as beautiful as they are in person. I think I need to take pictures in a room that is not bright green! he he
I found this on the internet and thought that is so stinkin Pink cute! It is a Prada handbag . How cute would this be with Pink pumps or stilettos? Then saw this for traveling a pale pink Prada Mini Travel bag. Sweet!
Hope you all have a great Pink Saturday! Hugs, Bobbi Jo

Pictures Finally

I found out the new SD card I had bought that didn't work was too powerful for my 4 year old computer. he he
So I had to go to a lower GB. Here are the pictures from Crazy Hair day on Tuesday.
Gabby was stylin with her little up do Faith's hair is hard to see under her "Broadway Hat" as she calls it.
This is one of the girls new friends and neighbors Macy. She has different colored streaks in her hair.
This week has been a fun one for the girls. This is their last week before Fall break. We had Parent Teacher Conference and I am happy to announce strait A's for both girls, meeting their AR goals and far beyond. They have both improved so much in their academics and I am very proud of them. Keep up the great work girls!
I have been up since 4:30 and have almost all of my morning chores done. I have some errands to run this morning and a few items I am working on for Halloween (crafts) and starting plans for Thanksgiving and Christmas. Money will be tight so I need to really come up with some neat ideas, I have a few.
Tomorrow is Pink Saturday so hope you will check back and see my pinks. Have a great Friday! Hugs, Bobbi Jo

Quote And Blog

Healthy expressions of love must be carefully cultivated in the home environment, so that children go out into the world with the right ideas about what love is, what it isn’t and how to demonstrate it to others.
~ William Coleman

I read this quote on Aunt Ruthie's blog "Sugar Pie Farmhouse "
If you have not visited her blog before you need to . It is a beautiful blog that focuses on the family, God, love of home, decorating, cooking and so much more.
May you all be blessed with a wonderful day. Hugs, Bobbi Jo

Post Delay, Crazy Hair Day, Etreme Makeover: Me Edition

On Sunday I thought to myself " I will go down and catch up on blog reading and update mine." Then for some reason I never did. I watched General Conference and enjoyed all the wonderful insightful talks that were given.
Monday Dallas (our son) and I ran errands. We went to the Dollar Store, Hobby Lobby, Michael's and Wal-Mart. I had a couple of craft projects that I needed a few items to finish. Pictures to follow in a later post.
This week in my youngest 2 daughters school it is Red Ribbon week. Tuesday was crazy hair day so of course trying to win the best mom in the world award I took pictures. So I am trying to load them and my new SD card is not being read. AHHHH!! So no pictures today.
Since it is Wednesday it is time for Extreme Makeover: Me Edition over at Ambers beautiful blog {aefilkins}  Amer has no question for today so we will just do a quick update. I have gone down 2 dress sizes and 2 pant sizes. I am thrilled with this. During this maintenance time I am learning how to deal with my issue of  emotional eating and keeping my weight stabalized. I have been feeling good over all.
Now I am off to take care of errands and housework. Have a wonderful Wednesday. Hugs, Bobbi Jo

Happy Pink Saturday

Happy Pink Saturday! Saturday's are better when touched with a little Pink or a lot of Pink! Beverly over at How Sweet The Sound has a list of blogs that are participating in Pink Saturday.
First I want to share this sweet little purse that I saw and fell in love with.
I just love the crowns on it and pink lettering!
A few weeks ago I had posted a Pink Saturday about Pink hair . Here is my hair pink okay not mine it's a wig. I kind of like it. I also have on my faux nose ring.
If hubs wouldn't have a fit I would wear this out of the house. he he
Have a great Pink Saturday! Hugs, Bobbi Jo

BFF And Bling

Today I went to a Bangles and Bling Jewelry Show open house and my sweet BFF Patty's house. She has so much jewelry reasonably priced and beautiful. If you would like to have a show (those who are in Arizona) or just see the gorgeous items she has you can contact me via email and I will let you know how to get in touch with her.
Patty has exquisite taste in everything so I shouldn't have been suprised at all the beautiful jewelry she had there. This is me and Patty. Her hubby, Frank was nice enough to take a picture of us with his cell phone.

I just love Patty she is like my sister. Hugs, Bobbi Jo
