Extreme Makeover: Me Edition

Amber over at {aefilkins} is once again hosting the Extreme Makeover: Me Edition.
I had started my program at the beginning of the year. Lost about 17 pounds and injured my knee. No exercise and gained about 10 back. Then in April started back. It has taken me since then to lose the 51.6 pounds.

Today's question is :
What is your biggest obstacle right now? What are your plans for overcoming this and push forward?
My biggest obstacle right now is maintaining the weight I have lost so far. I will be taking a rest from trying to lose any weight for 6 weeks and concentrate on toning up everything.
I will continue with the eating clean, cardio 6 days a week and a lot of weight training and strength building. It is funny yesterday I doing my workout with Tony Horton (P90X dude) it was a butt kicker but felt so good to be shaking when I got done. Last night it hit me I was actually doing push-ups in my workout. I did them! It has been years since I could do a regular push-up. I have been doing the girl push-ups. This amazed me that my body is getting stronger.
My biggest thing that will help me is to stay positive.

Thank You

I wanted to say Thank you to all of you have left such sweet comments and supporting my efforts to become healthy, lean and strong. I did hit the 50.8 pound loss today. YEA I can wear my shoes now! I will be maintaining this for 6 weeks and working on firming up.
I waited so long to start taking care of myself. 19 years to get to this point.Seriously changing my life style to be healthier and think about what I am putting inside me and doing or not doing on the outside of me to take care of ME. For me I had to be ready and I think we all have our time to get a hold of this and put it into action. I can't believe the energy I have. I feel like I am truly turning back my age. I am loving it , Hubs not so much. But this is about me not about anyone else.
I am getting things accomplished and still have energy to spare at night.
Keep positive and anything can happen. Hugs, Bobbi Jo

Reward For Loss

I am 4 oz. away for hitting my 50lb. weight loss goal as of this morning. So I went out and bought myself a pair of shoes as a reward. I will not wear them until I hit it mind you but I had to show them to you.

I have gained so much energy and feel so much better in my own skin. These next 6 weeks will be working on major toning. Then I will hit the weight loss again. Hugs, Bobbi Jo

My Heart Was Touched

I know I should have saved this for Pink Saturday last week but I couldn't .My sweet daughter Coco had something on her blog, The Lucas Gang I had to share with you. It touched my heart I thought it was so sweet of her to think of me. She, Kyle and Talmage went to the Fall Festival Car show in Pinetop that I really wanted to go to but couldn't make it up this year.
She wrote:

This car I took pictures of just for my mom. We saw it and thought of you. Mom you would look hot driving in this jamming out to Lady GaGa!

I could get this car and pimp it out like the ones on the movie I watched last night "The Fast & The Furious". Sweet ride! Love it Coco. Hugs, Bobbi Jo

Happy Shades of Pink Saturday

Happy Shades of Pink Saturday! If you want to see more Pinks check out Beverly's blog How Sweet The Sound..
Just wanted to share a few Shades of Pink with you today. The first are roses that Hubs brought home to me the other night

Look how perfectly the petal wrap around each other. Pure perfection and beauty

I found this in the refrigerator on Friday morning. Silly girls! That is a tomato with the face.

Last Sunday I got home from church and started dinner. I love dressing this way and cooking. It makes me feel so Bree Hodge of Desperate Housewives. Plus it makes me feel so feminine with pearls and my full Pink Check apron on.

Hope everyone it having a great Pink Saturday!  What day isn't great when it has a touch of Pink to it?
Hugs, Bobbi Jo

Extreme Makeover: Me Edition

Time for the Extreme Makeover: Me Edition hosted by Amber at {aeflikns}
The question for today is How are you doing?
I am doing very good. I got up and 4am and have been going since. I am eating clean and exercising. I am changing my exercising and adding new things to try. I have this week added Core Rhythms and Tony Horton Beach Body. The Core Rhythms was amazing. I have done crunches and haven't felt anything no matter how many but this I was hurting walking about a half hour after it. Someday I will be able to gyrate my hips like Shakira ( LOL) and Tony Horton just plain kicks my butt. Along with my friend the treadmill I am feeling strong and have tons of energy.
I was hoping by today I would be able to make a special announcement but it didn't happen so maybe next week. I know I am such a tease!
I am loving having the energy that I had lost carrying around the extra weight. I am slowly shrinking and feeling strong.
I do have to say that one thing that has been helping me is staying positive. I am a major emotional eater and keeping my thoughts up has helped so much.
I don't have my pounds or inches lost right now so I will post next week.
Hugs, Bobbi Jo

Tuesday is Feeling like Fall

I didn't get a chance to post yesterday. Hubs was off work and we had things that needed to be taken care of. It is a beautiful morning here in Arizona. There is a slight breeze in the air and I am thinking a sign of Fall coming to us. I wanted to share a few pictures of my kitchen/dinning area that I got decorated.

This is my favorite time of the year. When things start to get crisp and the weather is tolerable.
I have on my list of TO DO"s this week work on decorating outside, work on Halloween decorations and plans for costumes. Hope you all have a wonderful Tuesday. Hugs, Bobbi Jo

Happy Birthday Gabby

9 years ago today Gabrielle Renee was born into the family. She has been a ray of sunshine in our lives ever since. She is the little clown that makes everyone laugh. She cheers you up if your feeling down and knows when to give a hug too. I have so many pictures of her but I decided on several that I love to show her personality.
This is Gabby and me shorty after she was brought home from the hospital.
Love those big eyes. I was hoping they would stay brown but NO they turned blue like her daddy's
Her Baby Boo period
Gabby in Coco's softball sliders.
This is her with a squash we loving named Pete. She loved this thing so I put cloves in for eyes and she slept with him and played with him until he was all wrinkled up.
Playing little Momma
Gab in her fancy bathing suit. Gotta love those curls

This tutu was worn on after a few months of wearing it with everything on everyday! She loved the camera
A little chunky kiddo, so much to cuddle with. She always loved getting into boxes
Crazy Chef Actually that was a little seat cover she stuck on her head
Now today at 9 years old. Gabby has a wonderful imagination and a great personality. We love you Gabby!
A bit of a devilish grin. Don't you think?
(Sammy she looks like you!)
Happy Birthday Kiddo. Love you, Mom

Happy Pink Saturday

Happy Pink Saturday! Our lovely host every week is Beverly over at How Sweet The Sound . If you want to see more links to Pinks!
I have just visited a new blog that I just love it is De Gode Ting I LiveT, Klem AK. Beautiful blog! Go check it out after you check out my pinks of course!
Today is a special pink day in our house. It is my babies Birthday, Gabby, she is turning 9 ( post on her coming a little later). Since one of her favorite things to do is fix her hair in very interesting ways I figured I would do a Pink Hair Saturday theme. To let you in on a secret that not everyone knows about me is I always wanted to have Pink hair. I use to be a hair model and do hair shows but never got to have pink hair. So one more thing to add to my bucket list.

These are nice but not so much me. Maybe more of this style

This would be my hair in the morning!

Maybe a little more subtle
Or maybe a up do would work

Of course then there are my favorites Lady GaGa ( I could have so been her in my day!)
Another favorite of mine is Pink and

Maybe a little more subtle touch of pink
Sure I am a little crazy and crazy about the color PinkBut not to worry those who know me personally I won't color my hair any shade of Pink, due to hubby said I would look like this if I had pink hair
So back to dreaming about pink hair and on with my Pink Saturday! Have a great one. Hugs, Bobbi Jo

Holy Cow

I was so excited when I heard that Lady GaGa was coming in Phoenix in concert. I wanted to go so bad even though my oldest, Coco said it would be funny for me to go since I am not a teeny bopper. So I search on the internet to find when, where and how much. HOLY COW!!! Tickets starting in the nose bleed section at $199. OUCH!! So this old Lady BaBa will NOT be going to see Lady GaGa any time soon. sniff sniff
I'll get over it. Hugs, Bobbi Jo

Christmas Goodies

I just gotta say I LOVE Christmas! I have a passion for Christmas trees and have many that I put up and decorate every year. Shortly after Coco, Kyle and Talmage moved Coco had called me about some Christmas ornaments that were her Mother in love ( Diana ) grandmothers old ornaments that she wanted to get rid of. Coco thought of me and of course I said yes. These are the lovely old ornaments I just love them! I was thrilled as I was going through the big box just like on Christmas morning.
Look at the great old boxes. The boxes with 12 ornaments in them are marked with price tags of $1.29.
These ornaments here are just like the ones that my parents gave me that were bought when they first got married 65 years ago. These will all be hung on a tree that is just the older ornaments. These get me in the mood to work on Christmas ideas. But first I must work on Fall and Halloween.
