Sprinkler Fun

It's 92 degrees outside and the girls felt it would be a perfect time to play in the sprinklers. So they got on their bathing suits and out the door with sunblock in hand. They had so much fun. Hugs, Bobbi Jo

Scrap-booking Wed.

The scrap-booking didn't start as early as planed. My friend had to work today and I wanted to wait on her. So I had her daughter and my three girls, and we went to the store and out to lunch. Then we came home. I bought the girls some fun paint your own stain-glass decorations that kept them busy for a while. Melanie got home and then we started the scrapping.
The first picture is my Daughter Divas. There is a great quote by my favorite clothing designer, Coco Chanel. It says, "Fashion Fades, only style remains the same." The girls had fun posing for these pictures. The next is my purple cauliflower page; the smallest things are sometime so pleasurable. I used some of my Heidi Swap stamps for this one and one of my Talmage pages. I LOVE these clear stamps.
Faith& Gabby did their own Fashion pages. The last picture is of the three other pages I did today while the girls were busy. The pages are of Talmage.
We had fun and are looking forward to next Wednesday. Hope you all have a great evening. Sweet dreams. Hugs, Bobbi Jo

Pretty & Vogue-ing

Last night we had this beautiful purple cauliflower for dinner with Philly cheese steak sandwiches. YUMMY!! I bought the cauliflower because I thought it was so pretty. The taste is milder than the regular white.
The pictures of the girls Vogue-ing is for their fashion page if they want to use it. I just thought they were so cute. Check in later. Hugs, Bobbi Jo

1st Official Day

Happy belated Memorial Day! Thank you, to all those who have served, or are serving in the military .We need to thank them when we see them to let them know we do support them and appreciate them for putting their lives on the line for us. We live in a great country and so many times we take advantage of all that we do have. We had a cook out yesterday but ate inside due to our backyard being worked on.
Being the first day of summer for the girls has been very laid back. I want to keep it somewhat easy going with structure. This morning Dallas missed the bus so I had to take him. E’lyse watched the girls while I took him to school then to run some errands. I had to go to Michael’s I had 2- 50% off coupons that were burning holes in my purse. (He he) I got a great punch for edging and 2 die cuts for my Sizzix, with my other coupon I got a great 8 piece embossing plate set with holiday themes. Can you say FUN? The pictures of the girls are during the 20 min. quiet reading time. Faith is reading the Little House on the Prairie Series of mine; Gabby was reading a stack of short books. The last picture is a page I did while they were reading today.
Tomorrow we are starting our Hump-Day Scrappin’. My friend Melanie, her daughter Taylor, E’lyse, Faith, Gabby and myself will be doing at least a page a week. I have made out a schedule for these. The page will have a certain theme each week. For instance this week we are starting our summer scrapbook. We have 2 pages to do. The first one is Summer time. The quote says,” It is peaceful and serene in the summertime.” by Sara Ross. This will be used on their page. They picked out a paper that reminded them of summer. They were told to pick a bright summery looking paper. The requirements are to use Rick-rack of some sort on the page, a large cut out shape, and place an item or picture of what you Love about the summer time.
Now they might not have the pictures yet but they will be able to take them this week and use them.
The second page is Fashion. This will be a fun one.
Melanie and I took the girls on Saturday to pick out their books; they got the back ground pages for this week up to the first week of July following the themes I told them. This was so much fun for them. I think I have created scrap-booking monsters.
I will share pictures with you as they develop! LOL
Have a great Tuesday evening. Hugs, Bobbi Jo

Frdiay Night

Friday night E'lyse went to her friend Alises Birthday party. The theme was a movie premier. On the invitation it said to dress up due to the paparazzi being there and made to look very official, such a fun & cute idea. E’lyses friend Kessa did her hair and make-up. After seeing E’lyse in make-up and hair done Alan and I have decided we need to get another shot gun and load up some salt bullets for the boys that will be coming around. Here we go again! I'm not sure if I am ready for this already.
Anyway each person that came to the party was taken to a car. According to E’lyse the car was cool. They were driven in a circle a few times (they live in a cul-de-sac) then dropped off at the front of the red carpet. At the carpet they were interviewed and pictures were taken by the paparazzi (the friends dad, get it PAPA Razzi) I thought it was funny! After this they were guided into the house. They had a movie that the family made of her friend Alise growing up. E’lyse said it was really nice and they played games, had a lot of fun & ate.
Today is cloudy and beautiful. After all the rain we got yesterday the grass is so green. This is very motivating weather for me. I started yesterday working on the summer plans for the girls and plan on sharing the things we do with you. That’s it for now. Have a great Saturday and talk to you soon. Hugs, Bobbi Jo

Schools out for Elementary and Junior High

Today was the last day of school for E'lyse, Faith and Gabby. E'lyse is now officially a 7Th Grader, Faith a 4Th Grader and Gabby a 3Rd Grader. Dallas has 4 days left till he gets out for the summer. He told me he is very ready for it to be over. So I won’t be having the end of school year celebration till next Friday.
Faith came home with a certificate for the Honor Roll again. She loves school and has made new friends as well as get together with old friends. Gabby walked in the house with a frown on her face. I asked her,”What is wrong? Aren’t you happy to be out of school?” She looks up and said,”No, I am going to miss my teacher.” So precious, she just loved school. When we moved back to Queen Creek she made new friends and enjoyed learning. She never having to turn her card at all for bad behavior or talking. She was very proud of that. When I talked with Mrs. Lind she said how much she loved having Gabby in her class and that she was so much fun to have.
This weekend I plan on working on my summer planning, food changes, crafts and activities for the kiddos. Since the financing isn’t great we are going to be doing a lot of home projects. We had planned on going to the cabin most of the summer but with Alan’s sister living there it isn’t available. POOH! I don’t do well in the heat but we will have a fun summer none the less.
Tonight is date night. I am thinking Mexican food would be wonderful. (But when doesn’t it?) LOL
Have a great Friday night & I will talk to you tomorrow.
Hugs, Bobbi Jo

Camping Out -Kind of

Yesterday I thought it would be fun for us to camp out in the living room. I called Alan to make sure he would be cool with it, and he was. What a good sport. I have wanted to go camping for a while now and something keeps happening that we don't go. So this was close as I could get to get my fix. Okay minus the luxury of the toilets, electricity and such things. So for dinner I made pigs in a blanket with secret sauce, ranch style beans and a pasta salad. We got our showers and baths. Before we read scriptures I made smores. As you can see the girls enjoyed them. Alan’s were all gone so no picture of him and Dallas was being the usual teenager. So we got our beds ready on the living room floor and camped out for the night. The little girls thought this was so cool. Have a great day! Hugs, Bobbi Jo

I am still around

Hi everyone! I haven't checked in for a while. The pictures above should explain it all. Coco and Talmage came down on Friday. I have had so much fun having them here.
We didn’t do anything special but it was great to spend time with them.
Coco was suppose to go home on Monday but then decided to wait till Tuesday. She didn't get a good night sleep on Tuesday night so she extended it for one more day. Oh shoot! he he She left this morning and got a good distance away and realized she had forgot her laptop. So she had to turn around and come back.
I hope she had a good time. I love having them here and talking, laughing and just being together. Talmage is so precious! He is so much fun to smile, kiss, hug and watch smile. He just melts my heart!! He does a gurgling nose and he seems to like the sound and does it over and over. So funny! Hugs, Bobbi Jo

So Sweet

Saturday when I was picking up the kitchen I found this card on the countertop in the kitchen. The first picture is the front of the card. The second picture is the inside of the card. Gabby had made the card for Faith. The picture on the inside is an elephant in case you can't tell, this is Faiths favorite animal. It just made me so happy to have such wonderful children who love each other so much. Have a great Mothers Day. More on Sunday later. Hugs, Bobbi Jo

Saturday

Today my good friend, Melony and I were planning on going to lunch at 11 and out to do a little window shopping and just hanging out. At 10:00 am I get a call from our Bishop that there was only 1 worker who showed up this morning at 8 to fill orders at the Bishop Storehouse. I have the great calling of being Assistant Cannery Specialist. No I am not joking this is my 4th time in a different ward to be called. Anyway so he asked if Alan and I could go and work until 3. Alan was still in Pinetop doing some replacement of a water heater. So Bishop asked if Dallas was here and could he go. At this time Dallas was finally getting to mowing of the yards that have needed done for 2 weeks now. So Dallas and I went and worked at the cannery. I had a good time and met some great people!
I am trying a new detoxing program that I will share more with you at a later time but, on my way home I started getting to feel like I had the flu. Losing my hearing in my right ear, and other yucky signs. I think this is all due to the toxins coming out. The method is called oil pulling and it is very interesting. So if you want to read up on it here is the link:

Alan and Faith just got home. Alan is taking Faith to a school play. Hugs, Bobbi Jo

ARGGGG

The first picture is the page that Gabby made for her teacher Mrs. Lind for Teacher Appreciation Week. I love the picture in the center. I think it is sooooo cute!!
Last night I am getting ready to take my bath. Anyone who knows me knows I love my bath. The bubbles, the warm water, a good book and I am a happy camper. I look at my jar of bath oil beads. These are beads that Alan keeps me stocked up on throughout the year. My pretty hearts, pinguins, ducks, little flowers and fizzy beads. He knows what makes me happy. My full jar is full of gooshy stuff! I looked closer and someone had put water in the jar and they had all started to melt together ARGGGG!! I was a little upset.
I waited till this morning and call Faith & Gabby in my bathroom. I had the jar covered with a towel. I pull the towel off and Gabby gets this look on her face of “I got busted!” her lip started lowering and she looks up with her big eyes. I didn’t even have to say more but I said,” Did you do this?” Gabby said,” Yes mommy.” And she starts to cry. I told her she was banned from using my bathtub. I told my girlfriend when she came over for us to go on our walk and she started laughing. She said that is such a Gabby thing. I said, “ Yes it is!” Good thing Gabby is cute!
Have a great day. Hugs, Bobbi Jo

The Weekend and Monday

On Saturday since the boys were gone, E'lyse, Faith, Gabby and I went shopping. I decided to get my girls addicted to scrap booking so I bought them each a small packet of scrap-booking supplies. They were so excited, we then went to lunch. After arriving home there was a short rest then to the FUN! E’lyse went swimming with a friend so Faith, Gabby and I did our scrap-booking. Faith finished 4 pages, Gabby finished 3 pages I did two. Being that the girls needed help and items that weren’t on the table for them. We had a good time!!
On Sunday the boys came home, we went to church, came home and ate dinner. I really don’t care for 2:00 pm church and now that we are back to the regular 3 hours makes it harder. It was E’lyses turn to teach FHE. We played the game Heavenly Fathers Land. It is played like Candy Land. We played in teams of 2 and had a lot of fun. Good job E’lyse!
This morning I went to Scrapbooks Ect. to get my page of the week. I don’t have a picture for it, but I did finish the page.
Since it is Cinco de Mayo I have made chimichangas, tacos, refried beans with onions and cheese, salad, organic chips and homemade salsa. YUUUUUMMMMYYY!! I love Mexican food.
So this is what we have been up to here. Oh I did forget that we have some funky virus going on that causes vomiting then feeling better, then again with no fever or other symptoms. It is really strange. Last week Gabby, and this week Faith.
Take care and chat with you soon. Hugs, Bobbi Jo

Happy National Scrapbooking Day!!

Today in National Scrap Booking Day but first things first. I wanted to share a picture of the beautiful roses Alan brought home for me on Thursday for our Anniversary. He has always given me flowers and these are extra pretty and the smell is lovely.
Yesterday Alan had off so we had breakfast together after the kiddos all went to school. We went shopping for some necessities for today, Diet Coke and M&M's. A scrapper’s best treat to motivate creativity. He he
We got lunch at a new Mexican restaurant, the food was okay. We both have our favorite place though. We worked on some things together. When Dallas got home from school Alan and he went to Eager to work on Alan’s brother’s cabin. E’lyse had a school carnival and the girls and I stayed home, other than taking E’lyse and her friend to and from the carnival.
So this morning I am going to do a quick clean up of the house start some wash and set up my scrap booking area and then have FUN!!
Have a great day! Hugs, Bobbi Jo

Can you believe how young we look here? It cracks me up!
21 Years ago today Alan & I got married. I was 23 and Alan was 26. We had met on a blind date at Mark & Renee's house. Alan was going to introduce me to people in the singles ward being that I had just got reactive in the church.
We met on a Sunday night. We went out the following Friday night. We went out every night that following week and on that Friday night he asked me to marry him. We knew each other 41 days from the day we met to the day we were married. Crazy as it was we felt like we had known each other forever. We were sealed in the Mesa Temple for time and eternity, we have had 5 wonderful kiddos, have a son-in-law and the cutest little grandson, and we moved 14 times, we have been through a life & death situation, several tough times and a many great fun times together. We have disagreements but no fights. I love Alan with all my heart and soul. He is my better half. It has always seemed from the time we met that when one of us was week the other was strong and helped pull each other through. Not losing site on what is important in our lives. Alan has been through a lot with me, he has been patient and loving. He has been a rock for me and our family. So Happy Anniversary Al, I love you and I am so thankful for our life, friendship and eternity together.
Have a great Thursday! Hugs, Bobbi Jo
